FAIRFAX COUNTY

The following incidents were reported by the Animal Control Division of the Fairfax County Police Department. For information, call 703-246-2253.

Dog bites passerby: Barren Springs Ct. and Little Rocky Run Cir., 5:31 p.m. March 23. A woman was walking two pit bulls when one of them bit a female pedestrian in the lower body.

Another bite incident: Brixham Ct., 5400 block, 7:01 p.m. March 22. A female pedestrian was bitten by a dog and received a minor injury. The dog was quarantined.

Surprise attack: Springbrook Dr., 4800 block, 3:34 p.m. March 15. A raccoon bit a man on the arm while he was gardening. The animal was captured, euthanized and will be tested for rabies.

FAIRFAX CITY

Package startles dog: Crest St., 10800 block, March 18. A Labrador-pit bull mix ran out the front door and bit a delivery person on the lip while he was trying to deliver a package. The dog was current on its rabies vaccination.

Vienna

The following incidents were reported by the Vienna Police Department. For information, call 703-255-6396.

Cat bite: Park St. SE, 100 block, 1:30 p.m. March 21. A hospital staff member was bitten by a cat while attempting to perform a medical procedure.

Another cat bite: Park St. SE, 100 block, 7 a.m. March 24. A hospital staff member was bitten by a cat while attempting to perform a medical procedure.

Sick raccoon: Beulah Rd. NE, 500 block, noon March 27. Responding to a report, an animal control officer found a sick raccoon and determined it could not be saved.
