FAIR OAKS DISTRICT
HOMICIDES
Trevor House Dr., 3000 block, 7 p.m. July 25. Police, responding to reports of gunshots fired in a residence, found Ihab R. Qutob, 43, dead of a gunshot wound. A 27-year-old man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound was also found in the home. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
ASSAULTS
Virginia Center Blvd., 9500 block, 3:40 a.m. July 22. An officer saw a person push through a turnstile without paying a fare. When approached, the person pushed past the officer and ran. A 23-year-old Maryland man was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer, failure to pay a fare and public drunkenness.
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Borge St., 3100 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.
Centreville Rd., 2900 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.
Chain Bridge Rd., 2900 block. Merchandise was stolen from a business.
Dulles Corner Blvd., 2300 block. An electronic device was stolen from a business.
Fair Oaks Shopping Center, 11900 block. Merchandise was stolen from a business.
Lagersfield Cir., 9500 block, 5 p.m. July 20. Items were stolen from a residence.
Lamarre Dr., 4300 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.
Woodberry Meadow Dr., 3900 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS
Copper Ct., 10100 block. A Honda Pilot was stolen.
FRANCONIA DISTRICT
PEEPING TOM INCIDENTS
Ellingham Cir., 6900 block, 4:30 a.m. July 23. A woman awoke and saw her dog barking at someone at her window. She saw a man with his face pressed against the window, and he fled.

Backlick Rd., 5700 block. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.
Backlick Rd., 5700 block. A cellphone was stolen from a vehicle.
Backlick Rd., 6400 block. Headphones were stolen from a business.
Bradlick Shopping Center, 6900 block. Liquor was stolen from a business.
Commerce St., 6800 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
Hanover Ave., 5900 block. A lawn mower was stolen from a residence.
Iron Willow Ct., 5800 block. A moped was stolen from a residence.
Kingstowne Blvd., 5800 block. A purse was stolen from a business.
Little River Tpk., 7200 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.
Matthew Pl., 6900 block. Documents were stolen from a vehicle.
Old Telegraph Rd., 6000 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.
Richmond Hwy., 9300 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.
Silver Lake Blvd., 7100 block. A movie projector was stolen from a business.
Springfield Mall, 6400 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS
Palladium Ct., 6000 block. A 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen.
MASON DISTRICT
ASSAULTS
Arlington Blvd., 6100 block, 6 a.m. July 22. After an argument in a bar, three men followed a person outside and kicked and struck him, then fled. The injured person was treated.
ROBBERIES
South Jefferson St., 3400 block, 11:15 a.m. July 24. A man flashed a badge and detained a male, then took cash from his wallet and fled.

Columbia Pike, 7100 block. A cellphone was stolen from a vehicle.
