FAIR OAKS DISTRICT
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Centreville Rd., 3900 block. Merchandise was stolen from a business.
Fair Valley Dr., 4600 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
Fair Oaks Shopping Center, 11700 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
Fairfax Center, 4100 block. Sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle.
Fairfax Ridge Rd., 3800 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
Field Lark Ct., 12300 block. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.
Glen Alden Rd., 11900 block. Four tires were stolen from a vehicle.
Kings Way, 4000 block. Three air conditioners were stolen from a business.
Mount Royal Lane, 12800 block, Aug. 22. Prescription drugs were stolen from a residence.
Regents Tower St., 3000 block. Two bicycles were stolen from a residence.
Sunrise Valley Dr., 13800 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.
Waples Mill Rd., 11200 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
FRANCONIA DISTRICT
ROBBERIES
Milva Lane, 6500 block, 6 a.m. Aug. 19. A man with a handgun robbed a male of cash as he sat in his car.
Springfield Blvd., 6800 block, 1:50 a.m. Aug. 21. Two men robbed a man of clothing in the hallway of a motel. One robber had a knife.
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Amherst Ave., 6000 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.
Atteentee Rd.,, 5900 block. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.
Backlick Rd., 5200 block. Property was stolen from a vehicle.
Backlick Rd., 6500 block. Cash was stolen from a business.
Landsdowne Center, 6500 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
Little River Tpk., 7000 block. Cash was stolen from a vehicle.
Loisdale Ct., 6500 block. Cash was stolen from a business.
Pioneer Dr., 6100 block. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS
Franconia Commons Dr., 6300 block. A 2012 Honda Accord was stolen.
Joust Lane, 6000 block. A 2004 Honda motorcycle was stolen.
Milva Lane, 6500 block. A 1999 Volkswagen Passat was stolen.
VANDALISM
Lewis Chapel Rd., 9200 block, 3:15 a.m. Aug. 19. Police, responding to an alarm, found a broken glass door and saw two people escape.
MASON DISTRICT
SEXUAL ASSAULTS
Manitoba Dr., 4900 block, 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 19. A man took a 5-year-old girl from a playground area into the basement of a nearby building and sexually assaulted her.
ASSAULTS
Annandale Rd. and Arlington Blvd., 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19. A passenger in a Metrobus struck a female. A 28-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with assault.
Glen Carlyn Dr., 3300 block, 6:40 p.m. Aug. 19. A man became belligerent with police officers. A 35-year-old Falls Church man was charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice. A 33-year-old Falls Church woman was charged with operating a restaurant without a license and illegal sale of alcohol.
Little River Tpk., 6500 block, 9:45 p.m. Aug. 19. An employee in a store confronted a person attempting to leave with merchandise. The person pushed the employee and threw items at him, then fled. Nothing was reported taken.
Parkhill Dr., 6200 block, 2:35 a.m. Aug. 18. Four men began fighting with two men, ages 20 and 21, as they were leaving a party. The four then fled. Minor injuries were reported.
