PEEPING TOM INCIDENTS

Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 13000 block, 5:20 p.m. Sept. 17. A 52-year-old woman reported that a male had taken a photo under her dress when she reached for an item on a high shelf.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Fair Oaks Shopping Center, 11700 block. A credit card machine was stolen from a business.

Fairfax Ridge Rd., 3800 block. Nine laptop computers were stolen from a business.

Franklin Farm Rd., 13300 block. A bottle of liquor was stolen from a business.

Hunting Hills Ct., 2900 block. A cellphone and a wallet were stolen from a school.

Kalmia Lane, 13200 block. Two guns were stolen from a residence.

Lee Hwy., 11100 block. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy., 13000 block. A purse was stolen from a business.

Sugar Lane, 3000 block, 2:15 p.m. Sept. 13. Several pairs of shoes were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a sliding-glass door.

Verily Ct., 2700 block. Cash was stolen from a vehicle.

Viera Lane, 10400 block. Luggage was stolen from a vehicle.

White Granite Dr., 10400 block. A wedding band and an engagement ring were stolen from a business.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Farrington Ave., 6200 block. A 2002 Nissan Sentra was stolen.

Lee Hwy., 9500 block. A 2006 Ford F-250 was stolen.

Oak Valley Dr., 2700 block. A 2003 Acura was stolen.

VANDALISM

Haverford Ct.,13600 block, 3 a.m. Sept. 13. An occupant in a residence awoke to the sound of breaking glass. A bay window in the house had been broken.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT
INDECENT EXPOSURE

Kingstowne Blvd., 5800 block, 2:40 p.m. Sept. 14. A male driver stopped his vehicle near a female and engaged her in conversation, then exposed himself.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Amherst Ave., 6000 block. A toolbox was stolen from a vehicle.

Bedlington Terr., 5100 block. Cash was stolen from a residence.

Braddock Rd., 8100 block. A purse and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle.

Crozet Ct., 6100 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

Gayfields Rd., 6400 block. a laptop computer and jewelry were stolen from a vehicle.

Harvey Lane, 5500 block. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.

Hydrangea Dr., 6000 block. Two gold bangles were stolen from a residence.

Irvin Ct., 6500 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Jervis St., 7700 block, 7:50 p.m. Sept. 14. A computer was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

Levi Ct., 6200 block, 3 a.m. Sept. 16. A man awoke and saw an intruder standing in his bedroom. The person dropped several items and fled.

Pohick Bay Dr., 6500 block, 12:45 a.m. Sept. 16. Park employees found an open gate. A cash register drawer had been stolen from a park building entered by forcing a side door.

Pratt St., 5800 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle.

Richmond Hwy., 9500 block, 9:20 a.m. Sept. 19. A convenience store was entered through an unlocked attic window. The interior of the business was destroyed, and cash was stolen.

Pine Spring Rd., 2800 block, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 16. Police were called about a naked man on a balcony. A 56-year-old Falls Church man was charged with indecent exposure.

Peach Orchard Dr., 2000 block. A 2008 Yamaha R6 was stolen.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT
ASSAULTS

Richmond Hwy., 7700 block, 1:35 p.m. Sept. 16. A man in a store pushed an employee after being confronted about possible shoplifting. Police located the man in another business, and he resisted arrest. A 36-year-old Alexandria man was charged with assault, possessing concealed merchandise, larceny and obstruction of justice.

ROBBERIES

Lockheed Blvd., 3400 block, 10:40 a.m. Sept. 16. Two men attempted to pull a bag from a 57-year-old female pedestrian. A witness driving a vehicle flashed his headlights, and the men fled. The woman retained her bag.

San Leandro Pl., 7900 block, 9:20 p.m. Sept 15. Two people robbed a male of his wallet and cellphone.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Alcot St., 4200 block. A cellphone was stolen from a residence.

Blankenship St., 8400 block. A table was stolen from a residence.

Fernlake Ct., 8100 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.

Fordson Rd., 7200 block. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.

Frye Rd., 8200 block. Twelve chain saws were stolen from a vehicle.

Golf Course Sq., 6300 block, 6:45 p.m. Sept. 17. A man returned home and discovered that someone had entered his house and stolen a jacket. A suspect was found nearby. A 46-year-old Fairfax man was charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, destruction of property and public drunkenness.

Janna Lee Ave., 7900 block. Cash was stolen from a residence.

Parkers Lane, 2500 block. A computer was stolen from a residence.

Parkers Lane, 2500 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Richmond Hwy., 8300 block. A wallet was stolen from a school.

Richmond Hwy., 8700 block, 11:50 p.m. Sept. 15. Police, responding to a burglary alarm, found a front door smashed at a business. Several items were missing from the business.

South Kings Hwy., 6300 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

Medford Dr., 4400 block, 9:15 p.m. Sept. 13. A man in a parked car exposed himself to a person walking to school. The man was wearing no pants. He was gone when police arrived.

Charles Thompson Lane, 7900 block, 6:40 p.m. Sept. 19. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

Magic Tree Ct., 8400 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

ASSAULTS

Old Pickett Rd., 3200 block, 12:20 a.m. Sept. 13. A male was stabbed with a sharp object during an argument. A 59-year-old woman of no fixed address was charged with malicious wounding.

Chain Bridge Rd., 3900 block, 11:26 p.m. Sept. 13. Security personnel detained a male attempting to leave a restaurant without paying. The man attempted to run when police arrested him. A 58-year-old Norfolk man was charged with resisting arrest, defrauding an innkeeper and public drunkenness.

Courthouse Dr., 10400 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 13 to 10:44 a.m. Sept. 14. A purse containing a credit card was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

Fairfax Blvd., 10900 block, Sept. 12. Counterfeit money was used to pay for merchandise at a pharmacy.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 2:50 p.m. Sept. 8 to 6:32 p.m. Sept. 9. A wallet containing credit cards was stolen after it was left in a restroom of a fast-food restaurant.

Main St., 9600 block, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 8. A male stole a laptop computer from a store.

Old Lee Hwy., 3700 block, 1:51 p.m. Sept. 11. A church usher was observed taking cash from a collection basket. A 59-year-old Fairfax man was arrested and charged with embezzlement.

Old Pickett Rd., 3300 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 17 to 6:42 a.m. Sept. 18. Chain saws, blowers and shears were stolen from the storage compartments of 15 trucks.

Pickett Rd., 3700 block, 9:49 p.m. Sept. 12. Investigating a report, police found a man siphoning gasoline from a vehicle. A 30-year-old Vienna man was charged with possession of burglary tools and petty larceny.

Randolph St., 3700 block, 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 5. A bicycle was stolen from the front yard of a residence.

Rebel Run, 3500 block, 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 16. A purse, containing a credit card, keys and a camera, was stolen from a vehicle in a parking lot.

University Dr., 3900 block, 3:24 p.m. Sept. 13. An employee observed a male concealing items in his pocket at a convenience store and confronted him in the parking lot. The male gave him the items and fled on foot.

Willard Way, 10300 block, 4:52 p.m. Sept. 16. Food was stolen from a salad bar in a grocery store.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Old Pickett Rd., 3300 block, 3 p.m. Sept. 17 to 6:31 a.m. Sept. 18. The steering column and ignition of a vehicle were damaged during an attempted vehicle theft.

VANDALISM

Lexington Ct., 4100 block, 7:40 to 7:58 a.m. Sept. 14. A window of a vehicle was shattered. At 12:39 p.m. Sept. 15, BBs damaged another vehicle at this location.

Roberts Rd., 4100 block, midnight Sept. 8. A political campaign sign in the front yard of a residence was torn.

Falls Church

ASSAULTS

Ellison St., 900 block, Sept. 16. A 34-year-old Falls Church woman was arrested in connection with the assault of a family member.

West St. N., 100 block, Sept. 16. A 21-year-old Falls Church man was arrested in connection with assault, obstruction of justice and destruction of property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Broad St. E., 100 block, Sept. 14. A laptop computer and other property were stolen from a vehicle entered by smashing a window. Several stolen items, except the computer, were recovered.

Virginia Ave. N., 200 block, Sept. 6 to Sept. 7. A bicycle was stolen from an open garage, and cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the garage.

VANDALISM

Railroad Ave., 1000 block, Sept. 15. Screws on the hinges of a garage door were damaged.

Alabama Dr., 1100 block, 9:49 p.m. Sept. 14. A person assaulted an acquaintance.

Bond St., 1200 block, 3:25 p.m. Sept. 16. A person assaulted an acquaintance.

Cavendish St., 400 block, 2:43 p.m. Sept. 13. A 19-year-old Herndon man was arrested in connection with assault and abduction.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Devon St., 1100 block, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 12. A wallet was stolen from a business.

Elden St., 1200 block, 1:14 p.m. Sept. 15. A bottle of liquor was stolen from a business.

Knight Lane, 1000 block, 11:10 p.m. Sept. 13. A bicycle was stolen from the front yard of a residence.

VANDALISM

Maple Ct., 400 block, 8 a.m. Sept. 15. A rain gutter on a residence was broken.

Spring Knoll Dr., 800 block, noon to 10:30 p.m. Sept. 14. A fence around the back yard of a residence was damaged.

Stanton Park Ct., 1000 block, 11:58 a.m. Sept. 13. A basement window of a residence was damaged.

Vienna

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Center St. N., 400 block, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 14. A woman discovered that a door of her car and the center console were open. A purse, containing credit cards, was missing.

Country Club Dr. NE, 1000 block, noon July 1 to noon Sept. 17. A former member of a church used the church’s tax information to fraudulently open bank accounts. The case was under investigation.

East St. NE, 400 block, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15. A burglary occurred at a residence.

John Marshall Rd. NW, 600 block, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 to 7:30 a.m. Sept. 14. A purse and a Global Positioning System device were stolen from a vehicle entered by smashing a window. The purse and its contents were found scattered on a roadway.

Maple Ave. E., 400 block, 1 p.m. Sept. 13. A female walked up to a woman in a parking lot and said she had found a wallet full of cash next to her vehicle. The female offered to split the cash with the woman if she gave her $500 first. The woman gave her cash, and the female left with the money.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Patrick St. SW, 200 block, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 to 4 a.m. Sept. 15. A person reported a van in front of his house. An investigation revealed that the vehicle’s ignition had been punched, a passenger side lock had been damaged and the middle and rear seats were missing.

Patrick St. SW, 300 block, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 14 to 7:58 a.m. Sept. 15. A person reported a motorcycle lying in the back yard of a residence. An investigation revealed that the motorcycle had been stolen.

VANDALISM

Ayr Hill Ave. NW, 100 block, 9 a.m. Sept. 13 to 11:17 a.m. Sept. 14. Windows of an abandoned house were shattered.

Dominion Dr. SE, 400 block, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 to 3 p.m. Sept. 15. A vehicle was damaged.

Maple Ave. W., 100 block, 6 p.m. Sept. 17 to 10:15 a.m. Sept. 18. A funeral home vehicle was entered, and the ignition was punched out.

Westbriar Ct. NE, 1100 block, 11 p.m. Sept. 19 to 11 a.m. Sept. 20. Two mailboxes were damaged.
