Ankeny St., 2700 block, 11:50 a.m. Nov. 4. Cash was among property stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

Glencroft Rd., 2700 block. A health-care monitoring device was stolen from a residence.

ABDUCTIONS

Patrick Henry Dr., 2900 block, 12:10 a.m. Nov. 2. A man detained several people at knifepoint. A 27-year-old Falls Church man was arrested. Charges included abduction, resisting arrest and public drunkenness.

ASSAULTS

Lake St. and Vista Dr., noon Nov. 2. A person got out of a car and attacked a pedestrian. The victim sustained a cut to her neck.

ROBBERIES

Little River Tpk., 6300 block, 11:10 p.m. Nov. 2. A group of men attacked a man and robbed him of cash. The victim sustained minor injuries.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Arlington Blvd., 6100 block. A cellphone and a driver’s license were stolen from a business.

Beauregard St., 4800 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.

Briarbush Way, 3900 block. A cellphone and a pellet gun were stolen from a residence.

Camp Alger Ave., 7400 block. Lawn-care equipment was stolen from a business.

Columbia Pike, 6900 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Crossroads Center, 5800 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Elm Terr., 3300 block, 5 a.m. Nov. 3. Responding to a report of suspicious activity near a utility pole, police detained two men, then determined that copper wiring had been removed from several utility poles in the neighborhood. Two Alexandria men, 34 and 52, were charged with larceny, possession of burglary tools and larceny with intent to sell.

Glenmore Dr., 3300 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Richmond Hwy., 8400 block, 1:50 a.m. Nov. 4. During a dispute among a group of people at a restaurant, a man punched an employee and fled the scene. A 29-year-old Alexandria man was arrested. Charges included assault, obstruction of justice, providing false information to avoid arrest and public drunkenness,

Richmond Hwy., 6200 block, 1:50 p.m. Nov. 7. Two people, one with a handgun, robbed a business of cash from the cash register and employees of purses and wallets.

East Maple St., 2600 block, 3:30 p.m. Nov. 5. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

Richmond Hwy. and Sacramento Dr. A Ford Mustang was stolen.

Richmond Hwy., 8700 block, 6:45 p.m. Nov. 1. A woman who could not locate her car keys reported that her vehicle was missing. Police recovered the vehicle and arrested a 52-year-old woman of no fixed address. Charges included motor vehicle theft and driving without a license.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Crowell Rd., 1600 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

Explorer St., 1800 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Kingstream Dr., 1400 block, 9:50 a.m. Nov. 1. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence. A neighbor told police responding to an alarm that two juveniles had been in the area. A short-time later, two 15-year-old males were charged with burglary.

Soapstone Dr., 2300 block. Sandwiches and beer were stolen from a business.

South Lakes Dr., 11100 block. Soap was stolen from a business.

ASSAULTS

Braddock and Wakefield Chapel roads, 1 a.m. Nov. 1. During a traffic stop, a motorist became disorderly. A 23-year-old Gainesville woman was arrested on charges that included assault on a police officer and driving while intoxicated.

McCauley Way, 8100 block, 12:05 a.m. Nov. 2. A man was seen standing on balcony looking into a residence. He fled when confronted.

Rockwood Ct., 8000 block, 10 a.m. Nov. 2. A man was seen standing near a sliding-glass door at a residence. He fled when confronted.

Burke Centre Pkwy., 5700 block. A bottle of liquor was stolen from a business.

Crevenna Oak Dr., 10900 block, 9:20 p.m. Nov. 6. A gaming system was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

ASSAULTS

Cedar Ave., 10800 block, Oct. 29. A man struck an 18-year-old acquaintance, then disabled her phone when she tried to call for assistance. A 20-year-old Fairfax man was charged with assault and with obstruction of an attempt to contact emergency personnel.

Willard Way, 10300 block, 12:11 a.m. Nov. 2. During an altercation, a man was attacked by a group of five males.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Democracy Lane, 10300 block, 7:30 a.m. Oct. 26 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 27. A camera, sunglasses and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle. The credit card was used to make an unauthorized purchase in Prince William County.

Draper Dr., 3100 block, Oct. 20 to Nov. 2. A trailer was stolen from a storage lot at a business.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 4:13 p.m. Nov. 2. A woman concealed merchandise in her purse and attempted to leave a store. A 19-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, both of Fairfax, were charged with petty larceny.

Main St., 9900 block, 7:34 p.m. Nov. 1. A female stole a bottle of cologne from a store, then fled to a vehicle being driven by a male.

Pickett Rd., 3800 block, 5:45 p.m. Oct. 30 to 8:32 a.m. Oct. 31. An attempt was made to enter a business by disabling the power supply and damaging the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Tedrich Blvd., 3800 block, 11:30 a.m. Nov. 4 to 4 a.m. Nov. 5. An unlocked d bicycle was stolen from in back of a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

West Dr., 10700 block, 5 p.m. Nov. 3 to 12:49 a.m. Nov. 4. A Hyundai Accent was stolen.

VANDALISM

Fairfax Blvd., 10300 block, 8:30 to 10:57 p.m. Nov. 1. A motorcycle was pushed over and an outside mirror on a nearby vehicle was damaged.

University Dr., 4200 block, midnight Oct. 27. A laptop computer and drywall were damaged in a room at a residence. Destruction of property charges are pending against an identified suspect in the incident.

Warwick Ave., 10900 block, 8:01 p.m. Oct. 31. The front door of a residence was damaged by eggs.

Lincoln Ave., 1000 block, Oct. 29. A house was damaged by flooding after a pipe was removed.

Elden St., 400 block, 12:24 p.m. Oct. 31. A person tried to shoplift a necklace from a business, then fled empty-handed.

Elden St., 400 block, 6:44 p.m. Oct. 31. A 26-year-old Herndon man was charged with shoplifting.

Elden St., 1100 block, 10:46 p.m. Oct. 30. A person stolen beer from a business. An employee said that the same person returned later and took more beer and some candy.

Elden St., 1100 block, 9:30 a.m. Oct. 27 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 30. A TV, a purse, a car-alarm system, hair clippers and sneakers were among property stolen from a business.

Elden St., 1200 block, 8:29 p.m. Nov. 3. Two people tried to steal packs of gum from a business, then fled empty-handed.

Park Ave., 900 block, 4 p.m. Nov. 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3. An attempt was made to break into a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Spring St., 600 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 31 to 9 a.m. Nov. 2. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.

VANDALISM

Elden St., 600 block, 11:30 p.m. Oct. 30 to 12:30 a.m. Oct. 31. A vehicle window was damaged.
