SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Huntington Ave., 2500 block, 6:40 p.m. Oct. 7. A passenger on a bus touched a 31-year-old woman inappropriately. A 39-year-old Alexandria man was charged with sexual battery.

ASSAULTS

Janna Lee Ave., 7:37 a.m. Oct. 8. Police, responding to a report of domestic violence, learned that a man had fled and was at a residence on Tiburon Place. A 27-year-old man was charged with assault on a family member, strangulation, violating a protective order and preventing summoning of police.

ROBBERIES

Richmond Hwy. 6600 Block, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 4. A man demanded cash from a bank teller. The teller gave him cash, and he fled.

Vernon Sq., 7400 block, 9:50 p.m. Oct. 8. Three men, one with a gun, assaulted a 54-year-old pedestrian and robbed him of cash. They fled on bicycles.

ASSAULTS

Stringfellow Rd., 4700 block, 6:40 a.m. Oct. 6. Police issued a traffic summons to a woman whose vehicle was partially blocking the travel lanes of the road. The woman refused to sign the summons and assaulted the police officer when she was arrested. A 49-year-old Centreville woman was charged with resisting arrest, assault on a law enforcement officer and stopping on a highway.

INDECENT EXPOSURES

Willard Way, 10300 block, 9:32 p.m. Sept. 26. A security officer observed a male in a vehicle engaging in a sexual act. A 43-year-old Fairfax City man was charged with indecent exposure.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Elmont Ct., 10600 block, Sept. 22 to Sept. 29. A lock was removed from a shed and a gas can containing gasoline was stolen.

Fairfax Blvd., 9400 block, 1:42 p.m. Oct. 7. Year decals were stolen from license plates on two vehicles at a condominium complex.

Fairfax Blvd., 11000 block, Sept. 7. An auto dealership manager reported that a customer purchasing a vehicle gave an employee cash but the employee did not give the cash to the company.

Main St., 9900 block, Oct. 1 to Oct. 2. A counterfeit $100 bill was used to purchase gas at a gas station.

Mavis Ct., 3500 block, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28 to 7:30 a.m. Sept. 29. A purse containing cash, credit cards and identification was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Peterson St., 10000 block, Oct. 1. A person’s identity was used fraudulently to open three bank accounts.

Rock Garden Dr., 11100 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 1 to 5 a.m. Oct. 2. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

University Dr., 3900 block, 3:14 p.m. Sept. 29. A man stole merchandise from convenience store. A 51-year-old Fairfax City man was charged with petty larceny.

VANDALISM

Fairfax Blvd., 9800 block, 7 to 8:41 p.m. Oct. 1. The hood and the hood support on a vehicle were damaged.

Lee Hwy., 11000 block, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 1. Paint on a vehicle was scratched.

Main St., 10000 block, 11:59 a.m. Oct. 3. A word was spray-painted on the side of a building.

Lynn St., 700 block, 5 a.m. Sept. 30. Items were stolen from a business. Two juveniles identified on a security video were arrested. Two females, 15 and 16, were charged with burglary, destruction of property, petty larceny, possession of alcoholic beverages by a person under 21 and possession of tobacco by a person under 18.
