Chain Bridge Rd., 2900 block, 11:38 a.m. Nov. 6. A man attempted to grab a cellphone from a male sitting in a vehicle. The victim resisted, and the man fled on foot. A 29-year-old Fairfax man was charged with robbery.

Fairfax Towne Center, 12200 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 30. A man in a bank indicated he had a gun and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. He was given cash and fled.

ASSAULTS

Richmond Hwy., 5900 block, 8 a.m. Nov. 6. Police were called about an intoxicated man who was injured in a fall. The man was taken to a hospital, and while there, he assaulted a police officer. A 22-year-old man was charged with public drunkenness and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Fairhaven Ave., 2800 block, 8:35 p.m. Nov. 3. A gunman assaulted a female pedestrian, then he and a second man robbed her of property.

North Kings Hwy., 5800 block, 1:42 a.m. Oct. 31. A man with a knife robbed a convenience store of cash, then fled.

Towne Manor Ct., 8500 block, 10:45 p.m. Nov. 5. A gunman assaulted a food delivery man, then he and a second man robbed him of cash. Minor injuries were reported.

ASSAULTS

Barbour Dr., 4000 block, 3:20 a.m. Nov. 4. A man forced his way into an acquaintance’s house, struck her, held her in a chokehold and forced her to the ground. He physically prevented her from using her cellphone to call for help. The woman got free and ran to a neighbor’s house to call for help. A 28-year-old Fairfax area man was charged with unlawful entry with intent to assault, felonious strangulation assault, simple assault and battery and obstructing one from calling 911.

Rust Rd. and Westmore Dr., 10:20 a.m. Oct. 25. A person knelt down and pointed an Airsoft-style weapon at a 41-year-old man working on his vehicle. The person shot the man in the stomach and then fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Chestnut St., 4000 block, 3:45 p.m. Oct. 13. A person’s identity was used to obtain a Virginia income tax return.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 11 a.m. to 5:05 p.m. Oct. 30. A store employee’s purse containing cash, identification and credit cards, was stolen from a closet while the employee was working.

Main St., 9700 block, 4:11 p.m. Oct. 27. A person attempted to use a stolen driver’s license and checks to withdraw cash from the owner’s account.

Old Post Rd., 3600 block, 6 p Oct. 31 to 8:01 a.m. Nov. 1. Prescription medication was stolen from a vehicle.

University Dr., 3800 block, 3:38 p.m. Nov. 1. A convenience store manager reported that a male who had taken merchandise from the store in October was back in the store. A 20-year-old Fairfax man was charged with petty larceny.

Willard Way, 10300 block, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2. A purse containing cash, identification and credit cards was stolen from a counter at a business.
