ASSAULTS

Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy., 13000 block, 2 p.m. Nov. 14. A police officer attempted to make a traffic stop, and the driver sped away. During the pursuit, the driver struck two vehicles and a police cruiser. A 45-year-old Chantilly man was charged with reckless driving, speed to elude, hit and run and assault on police.

James Swart Cir., 11200 block. Liquor was stolen from a business.

Pender Creek Cir., 12200 block. A cellphone was stolen from a residence.

Plum Run Ct., 3900 block, Nov. 17. Property was stolen from a residence.

Jayhawk St. and King William Ct., 10:14 P.M. Nov. 17. Two men stopped a female pedestrian, and one assaulted her while the second grabbed her purse. They both fled on foot.

INDECENT EXPOSURES

Reston Pkwy., 2500 block, Nov. 17. A man exposed himself to a woman walking on a pathway.

ASSAULTS

Woodburn Village Dr., 3300 block, 5:53 a.m. Nov. 16. A man grabbed a pedestrian’s purse and assaulted her. Nearby residents heard the woman cry out and helped her. They held the man until police arrived. A 26-year-old Reston man was charged with robbery and assault.

ROBBERIES

Eighth St., 6200 block, 7:55 p.m. Nov. 17. A group of people assaulted a male pedestrian from behind and took his wallet. The male was treated at a hospital.

Lockheed Blvd. and Fordson Rd., 5:25 p.m. Nov. 16. A man being arrested assaulted the police officer and damaged a police cruiser. A 31-year-old Alexandria man was charged with assault on a police officer, destruction of property and public drunkenness.

Holland Rd. and Holland Ct., 6:35 p.m. Nov. 18. Two males with knives robbed a male pedestrian of property.

Lockheed Blvd., 3100 block, 1 a.m. Nov. 19. A man with a knife robbed a convenience store of cash.

North Kings Hwy., 5800 block, 2:10 a.m. Nov. 21. A man with a knife robbed a convenience store of cash.

Tavenner Lane, 7300 block, 3 a.m. Nov. 20. Two men robbed a female pedestrian of property.

Cub Run Park Dr., 14900 block, 5:25 p.m. Nov. 17. A person looked out a window and saw someone looking into the room. The person fled before police arrived.

Woodleaf Ct., 5200 block, 3:58 p.m. Nov. 18. A man attempted to force his way into a residence but left when he saw someone in the home. An 18-year-old Centreville man was charged with breaking and entering, carrying a concealed weapon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Juvenile petitions are being sought for a 16-year-old Centreville male.

Chain Bridge Rd., 3500 block, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 16. Three cash-deposit envelopes were stolen from a safe in a restaurant.

Chain Bridge Rd., 4300 block, 3 to 11:19 p.m. Nov. 15. A purse, containing cash, identification and a credit card, was stolen from a vehicle in a parking lot.

Fairfax Blvd., 10400 block, 1:58 p.m. Nov. 15. A man cashed a forged check on the account of a Maryland corporation. Warrants were obtained for false pretenses and forgery.

Fairfax Blvd., 11000 block, Nov. 8 to Nov. 14. Two tablet computers were stolen from a vehicle at an auto dealership for service.

Main St., 9600 block, 4:16 p.m. Nov. 15. A man stole a Play Station 4 from a store. A 32-year-old Fairfax area man was charged with grand larceny.

Main St., 9600 block, 7:52 p.m. Nov. 14. Two males concealed a laptop computer and a charger in their clothing and left a store. Employees attempted to detain them, but they fled in a vehicle.

Main St., 9900 block, 9:10 p.m. Nov. 11 to 5:18 p.m. Nov. 12. A money bag containing cash was stolen from a safe in an office.

Main St., 10200 block. Sept. 19 to Oct. 18. A man’s debit card information was used to make several unauthorized purchases.

Plaza Dr., 3800 block, Oct. 7 to Oct. 21. Unauthorized withdrawals were made from a person’s account.

School St., 10800 block, 5 p.m. Nov. 12 to 8 a.m. Nov. 13. Tools were stolen from a trailer.

Spring St., 3100 block, Nov. 12 to Nov. 19. Cash was stolen from a safe in an office.

Elden St., 1000 block, Nov. 17. A juvenile with a knife robbed a man of his cellphone. A Herndon juvenile was charged with robbery and possession of marijuana.

Cedar Lane SE, 200 block, 12:12 a.m. Nov. 21. A security employee discovered a man sleeping in a storage area. A 27-year-old Maryland man was charged with unlawful entry and possession of marijuana.

Cottage St. SW, 1000 block, 10 p.m. Nov. 17 to 9:51 a.m. Nov. 18. Cash was stolen from the center console of an unlocked vehicle.

Drake St. SW, 1100 block, 1 p.m. Nov. 17 to 7 a.m. Nov. 18. A vehicle was entered, and the glove box was opened.

Follin Lane SE, 800 block, Dec. 1, 2012 to Dec. 12, 2013. A credit union employee said another employee embezzled property from the credit union and sold it.

Lincoln St. NW, 500 block, 9:05 a.m. Nov. 16. An uninhabited residence was entered .

Maple Ave. E., 300 block, 6:07 p.m. Nov. 19. A man returned two bird feeders to a store for a refund. It was later determined that the bird feeders had been stolen from the store when the man was there earlier.

Park St. SE, 100 block, 3:30 p.m. Nov. 16. An iPhone was stolen from a dressing room of a dance studio.

VANDALISM

Orrin St. SE, 600 block, midnight to 7 a.m. Nov. 21. An obscene image was drawn on a window.
