The Fairfax County Park Authority needs volunteers to help clear waterways of litter and illegally dumped items as a part of the Potomac Watershed Cleanup on Saturday. Cub Run RECenter needs volunteers 5 or older to help with landscaping and picking up trash around the park from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. The Falls Church Spring Community Clean-up needs volunteers, 10 a.m.-noon April 13. Registered volunteers meet at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., to get the litter kit and instructions. Groups are welcome and can request a particular park or area of town. Bikes for the World collection. The West Springfield Rotary Club and Irving Middle School will host the collection. Donate used or outgrown bikes to provide transportation to school or work for a new owner overseas. Take bikes to Irving Middle School, 8100 Old Keene Mill Rd., Springfield, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 13. The 4Paws Rescue Team needs adult volunteers to care for cats at the Alexandria Petco. Volunteers scoop litter, provide fresh food and water and play with the cats in a quiet room.
