Bardu Ave. and Bardu Ct., 2:45 a.m. Jan. 30. Police arrested two occupants of a vehicle that had been stopped for an equipment violation. A 22-year-old Springfield man was charged with assault on a police officer. He and a 19-year-old Springfield man were each charged with possession of marijuana.

Burke Centre Pkwy. and Roberts Pkwy., 5:50 p.m. Jan. 30. A man attacked a police officer who was trying to serve an arrest warrant. An 18-year-old Burke man was arrested on charges that included assault on a police officer.

Chain Bridge Rd., 4100 block, 9:22 a.m. Jan. 23. During an argument, a man struck a female acquaintance. A 20-year-old Fairfax City man was charged with assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Duncan St., 9900 block, Jan. 19 to Jan. 25. A DVD player and several storage bags were stolen from a basement in a residence.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 1:47 p.m. Jan. 28. A store security officer saw a man remove wrapping from merchandise and then conceal it. An 18-year-old Fairfax City area man was charged with petty larceny.

Old Lee Hwy., 3200 block, Dec. 8 to Jan. 18. Fraudulent returned-merchandise records were entered into a store’s electronic inventory database. An employee, a 21-year-old Springfield man, was charged with embezzlement.

Old Lee Hwy., 3700 block, Jan. 20. A man and a woman who had been picked up as fares in the District, jumped out of a cab at this location without paying for the ride. A 25-year-old Fairfax City man and a 22-year-old Woodbridge woman were arrested.

Willard Way, 10300 block, 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 27. A wallet was stolen from a business. A credit card from the wallet was used to make unauthorized purchases.

VANDALISM

Ardmore Pl., 4200 block, 5:48 p.m. Jan. 28. A planter pot on the front porch of a residence was destroyed.

Fairfax Blvd., 9400 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 25 to 9:48 a.m. Jan. 26. Glass was shattered in the front door of a business.

Saber Lane, 1000 block, 2:24 p.m. Jan. 24. A person threatened an acquaintance.

Van Buren St., 400 block, 3:25 p.m. Jan. 25. A 38-year-old Stephens City, Va., man was arrested on a malicious wounding charge.

Van Buren St., 400 block, 6:51 p.m. Jan. 23. A person attacked an acquaintance.

ROBBERIES

Elden St., 1000 block, Jan. 30. A man robbed a 22-year-old woman at a motel, then fled in a vehicle, which was found in the area Jan. 31. A 27-year-old Arlington County man was arrested and charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Based on the results of an investigation of armed robberies in Fairfax County, the man also was facing similar charges there.

Sunset Business Park Dr., 200 block, 8:30 p.m. Jan. 23. Credit cards were stolen from a purse at a restaurant. The cards were used to make unauthorized purchases.

Wilshire Dr., 1200 block, 9:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Jan. 25. Jewelry, electronic items, video games and cash were stolen from a residence.
