Frontier Dr., 6600 block, 3:40 p.m. Feb. 22. Police assisted a store loss-prevention officer in capturing a person who stole merchandise. A 30-year-old Woodbridge man was charged with felony petty larceny.

Rose Hill Dr., 6100 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

Spring Garden Dr., 7000 block. A mailbox was stolen from a business.

Woodside Lane, 7500 block, 4:25 p.m. Feb. 21. A woman broke into a residence and threatened a female acquaintance. A 30-year-old Lorton woman was charged with burglary with intent to assault.

ASSAULTS

Willow Oaks Corporate Dr., 8200 block, 1:15 a.m. Feb. 27. A man ran from a vehicle when he was stopped by a police officer for a traffic violation. A 32-year-old District man was charged with assault on a police officer, eluding police, resisting arrest and DWI.

RESTON DISTRICT

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Pinecrest Rd., 11:20 p.m. Feb. 26. A man with a weapon approached a pedestrian from behind and forced her into a van, where a second man was waiting. They drove to Green Range Drive and Emerald Heights Court, where they sexually assaulted her, then released her.

ASSAULTS

Youngs Point Pl., 1500 block, 5 p.m. Feb. 25. Police were called about a distraught man. A family member met officers outside. The distraught man pointed a gun at the officers and non-lethal pepper spray was used to force the man from the home. A 45-year-old Herndon man was charged with assault on a police officer.

ROBBERIES

Marginella Dr., 2200 block, 3:10 p.m. Feb. 25. Two men threatened a man and robbed him of cash and a cellphone, then fled in a vehicle. When stopped by police, the men abandoned the vehicle. A 27-year-old Reston man and a 19-year-old Herndon man were each charged with robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Browns Mill Ct., 1300 block, 7 a.m. Feb. 26. A man entered a residence using a garage door opener from a vehicle in the driveway. He stole a woman’s purse, and she chased him, but he got away.

Drop Forge Lane, 11500 block. Cash was stolen from a residence.

Hunters Woods Plaza, 2300 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

Market St., 11900 block. A magnetic sensor was stolen from a business.

Monroe Manor Dr., 12900 block, 8:10 a.m. Feb. 26. Several purses were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage.

Reston Pkwy., 1700 block. Cash was stolen from a business.

Sunset Hills Rd., 12000 block. A purse was stolen from a business.

Town Center Dr., 1800 block, noon Feb. 25. Checks were stolen from a business entered by forcing a side door. An attempt was made to cash one of the checks. The investigation is continuing.

Winterthur Lane, 11900 block. An electronic game was stolen from a residence.

Woodland Crossing Dr., 2300 block. Liquor was stolen from a business.

Wynkoop Dr., 10700 block, 9:40 a.m. Feb. 25. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from the garage of a residence. A garage-door opener from a vehicle in the driveway was used to open the garage.

VANDALISM

Cartwright Pl., 2100 block, 5:15 p.m. Feb. 23. Siding of a residence was damaged by graffiti made with a marker.

Sunrise Valley Dr., 11800 block, 11:10 a.m. Feb. 24. Graffiti were spray-painted on the side of a building.

ROBBERIES

Machen Rd. and St. Germain Dr., 2 p.m. Feb. 25. A 26-year-old male reported that an acquaintance beat him and stole his cellphone.

ASSAULTS

North St., 10300 block, 4:40 p.m. Feb. 26. A man said a woman struck him in the face and then boarded a bus. Police stopped the bus and found the woman. She became belligerent and kicked two police officers; she also kicked the window assembly of the police cruiser. A 54-year-old woman of no fixed address was charged with assault on a police officer, destruction of property and public drunkenness.

Fairfax Blvd., 101400 block, 7:30 a.m. Feb. 23. A purse was stolen from a vehicle at a gas station.

James Swart Cir., 11200 block, 8:45 a.m. Feb. 19 to 8:31 a.m. Feb. 20. A moneybag containing cash was stolen from a safe behind a front counter in a business.

Lee Hwy., 11000 block, 11:07 a.m. Feb. 17. A male stole three golf clubs from a business.

Main St., 9500 block, Feb. 7. A tray of diamond rings was stolen from a jewelry store. On Feb. 21, a 50-year-old District man was charged with grand larceny.

VANDALISM

Main St., 9800 block, 5:45 p.m. Feb. 19 o 7:15 a.m. Feb. 20. Graffiti were spray-painted on an exterior wall of a building.

Worchester St., 500 block, 3:37 p.m. Feb. 19. A resident heard a window break and found a person attempting to enter the residence. The person fled.

Worldgate Dr., 13000 block, 5 to Feb. 17 to 5 p.m. Feb. 23. A toothbrush, goggles, a gym bag and clothing were stolen from a locker at a fitness center.

Worldgate Dr., 13000 block, 7 to 7:45 p.m. Feb. 18. A backpack, headphones, clothing and car keys were stolen from a locker at a fitness center.

VANDALISM

Branch Dr., 800 block, 10:38 a.m. Feb. 18. Graffiti were found in the area.
