Spring Garden Dr., 7000 block, 4:30 a.m. April 18. Police, responding to an alarm at a business, discovered that two businesses were entered through a wall.

Springfield Plaza, 6400 block. A bottle of liquor was stolen from a business.

Vine St., 5600 block. Rims and tires were stolen from a vehicle.

ASSAULTS

South Jefferson St., 3500 block, 1:20 a.m. April 20. A police officer observed a man being escorted out of a restaurant by security. The man attempted to hit the officer. A 28-year-old Falls Church man was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and assault on a police officer.

ROBBERIES

Seminary Rd., 5700 block, 8:30 p.m. April 18. Two people grabbed a 13-year-old and robbed him of his cellphone.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Anderson Rd., 8300 block, 11:15 a.m. April 23. Two males entered model homes and caused damage. An 18-year-old Fairfax man was charged with destruction of property and unlawful entry. Petitions are being sought for a 16-year-old Fairfax boy.

Argyle Dr., 6000 block, 1:40 a.m. April 22. A stranger walked out of a residence as a resident opened the door to go inside. Other residents were inside asleep at the time and nothing was reported missing. Police located the man in the area. A 28-year-old Falls Church man was charged with burglary.

Arlington Blvd., 6100 block, 4:45 a.m. April 18. The front door of a business was shattered and a watch and other items were stolen.

ASSAULTS

Spartan Rd., 8500 block, 11 p.m. April 18. A woman struck a 20-year-old woman during an argument at a party. A 19-year-old Virginia woman was charged with malicious wounding and illegal possession of alcohol. The injured woman was treated for minor injuries.

Alvord St., 8300 block, 2:15 p.m. April 19. A passport and other items were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

Balls Hill Rd., 1400 block. A cellphone was stolen from a residence.

District Ave., 2900 block, 9:10 p.m. April 21. Police were called about a shoplifting incident. A 29-year-old Herndon man was charged with grand larceny. A second man went outside the business and called in a bomb threat. A 30-year-old Herndon man was charged with making a bomb threat.

Idylwood Rd., 8300 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

International Dr., 1600 block. A pair of pants was stolen from a business.

ROBBERIES

Fielding St. and Havenwood Pl., 10:20 p.m. April 22. Two men, one with a handgun, demanded cash from a 24-year-old man sitting in a vehicle. They fled with the man’s wallet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Arlington Dr., 2900 block. Beer and wine were stolen from a business.

Beechcraft Dr., 3400 block. A generator, a nail gun and a saw were stolen from a vehicle.

Belle Have Rd., 1400 block, 10:15 a.m. April 12. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing a skylight.

East Lee Ave., 2900 block, 9:30 a.m. April 20. A camera and other items were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

Groombridge Way, 4400 block, 12:30 a.m. April 21. A resident woke to a noise outside his window and saw a man reach into the window and take a wallet off a table. The man dropped the wallet and fled.

Huntington Ave., 2300 block. A bag of chips was stolen from a business.

Huntington Ave., 2300 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

Kenyon Dr., 6700 block, 12:45 a.m. April 24. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

North Kings Hwy., 6200 block. Liquor was stolen from a business.

North Kings Hwy., 6200 block. Two pints of liquor were stolen from a business.

Parkers Lane, 2500 block. A cellphone was stolen from a vehicle.

Republic Ct., 7500 block. Military gear was stolen from a residence.

Richmond Hwy., 7500 block. A cellphone was stolen from a residence.

Richmond Hwy., 7700 block, 11 p.m. April 22. Police, responding to an alarm at a business, found the front door smashed. Speakers and other items were reported stolen.

The Parkway, 6100 block. Two pearl necklaces and a pearl bracelet were stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

North Kings Hwy., 6200 block. A 2000 Ford van was stolen.

RESTON DISTRICT
ASSAULTS

Green Range Dr. and Pyrenees Ct., 11:15 p.m. April 24. Two people attacked a 21-year-old man as he was walking in the area with a friend. The friend ran for help. Minor injuries were reported.

Viking Dr., 2600 block, 1:10 a.m. April 21. A group attacked a 16-year-old male walking on a path. He fled.

Winterthur Lane, 11900 block, 10:40 p.m. April 24. Two men asked four men for money, and other men joined the two men in a confrontation that became physical. Three men were treated at the scene, and the fourth was treated at a hospital. The incident is under investigation.

Bowman Towne Dr., 12000 block. A generator was stolen from a business.

Discovery St., 1800 block. A motorized bicycle was stolen from a business.

Lake Shore Crest Dr., 1700 block, 5:30 p.m. April 23. A residence was entered by forcing a window. Nothing was reported missing.

Marginella Dr., 2200 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

Scandia Cir., 1500 block. A cellphone was stolen from a residence.

Shaker Dr., 1200 block. A cellphone was stolen from a library.

Wolf Trap Creek Ct., 9300 block. A credit card was stolen from a residence.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Winding Oak Cir., 13000 block, 3 a.m. April 21. A 27-year-old woman awoke to find a man sexually assaulting her. The woman challenged him and he fled on foot. Electronic equipment was stolen from the residence.

INDECENT EXPOSURES

Summer Tree Rd., 14300 block, 1:15 a.m. April 24. A woman awoke to see a man exposing himself outside her window. The man fled before police arrived.

ASSAULTS

Franklin Farm Rd., 13300 block, 2:10 p.m. April 24. Police were called about a shoplifting incident with an assault at a business. A man resisted arrest when police attempted to detain him. A 37-year-old Chantilly man was charged with assault, larceny and assault on a police officer.

Bent Tree Cir., 13600 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Chantilly Shopping Center, 4300 block. Two electronic device cases were stolen from a business.

Goolsby Way, 5400 block, 5:30 p.m. April 21. A residence was entered by forcing a front door.

ASSAULTS

Fairfax Blvd., 9400 block, 1:45 p.m. April 22. A man struck a 38-year-old man on the head with his fist. A 49-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with assault and battery.

Fairfax Blvd., 11200 block, 10:53 p.m. April 17. A stranger assaulted a 22-year-old man at a gas station.

Main St., 9600 block, 11:20 a.m. April 16. A stranger assaulted a man in a parking lot, then fled in his vehicle. The 63-year-old man was treated at a medical facility. On April 18, a 57-year-old Fairfax County man was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cornwall Rd., 10100 block, April 9. A person’s identity was used to purchase merchandise on the Internet.

Fairfax Blvd., 9600 block, 1:04 a.m. April 23. Four males stole a case of beer from a convenience store.

Fairfax Blvd., 10700 block, 10:26 a.m. April 17. Two males and a female left a cab without paying the fare.

Fairfax Blvd., 11000 block, April 19 to April 23. Virginia state inspection stickers were stolen from two vehicles in an auto dealership lot.

Fairfax Blvd., 11100 block, 12:45 a.m. April 18. A cellphone left on a counter in a hotel, was stolen.

Jermantown Rd., 11100 block, 2:23 p.m. April 22. A female attempted to cash a forged check at a bank. She left the bank when confronted.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, March 27 to April 19. Used cooking oil was stolen from collection tanks at two restaurants.

Judicial Dr., 10500 block, 5 p.m. April 16 to 8 a.m. April 17. A picnic table was stolen from the rear of a property.

Lee Hwy., 11100 block, March 20 to March 22. An engine, a transmission and scrap metal parts were stolen from the rear of a gas station.

Queen Anne Dr., 3500 block, 2:50 to 7:24 p.m. April 22. Cash and clothing were stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Maple St., 10600 block, April 18 to April 19. A 2006 Dodge Ram truck was stolen.

VANDALISM

Mason St., 3700 block, 11 p.m. April 17 to 8:41 a.m. April 18. Toilet paper was strewn over the front yard and landscaping of a residence and a flagpole hanging from the carport was damaged.

Old Lee Hwy., 3800 block, 7 p.m. April 21 to 10:08 a.m. April 22. Graffiti were painted on an electrical room door.

Spring Lake Terr., 10100 block, April 16 to April 18. The rear bumper of a vehicle was damaged.

Willard Way,10300 block, 9 a.m. April 20 to 4:37 p.m. April 22. Graffiti were found on a sign in front of a grocery store.

Falls Church

ABDUCTIONS

Broad St. W., 800 block, April 18. A man grabbed a female from behind and dragged her toward an isolated area. The woman broke free and alerted police. A 32-year-old Falls Church man was charged with abduction and assault and battery.

ASSAULTS

Park Ave., 400 block, April 19. A 17-year-old Alexandria man was arrested for assault and battery, underage possession of alcohol and public drunkenness.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Broad St. E., 1000 block, April 18. A man stole motor vehicle parts and failed to fulfill a promissory note at an auto dealership. A 47-year-old Falls Church man was arrested for grand larceny and petty larceny.

Broad St. W., 1100 block, April 11. A 20-year-old District man was arrested for shoplifting.

Ellison St., 900 block, April 20. A man cashed checks fraudulently after an online vehicle purchase. A 27-year-old Annandale man was charged with grand larceny.

Virginia Ave. N., 300 block, April 17 to April 20. An unsecured bicycle and an iPod were stolen from a residence.

VANDALISM

Grove Ave., 200 block, April 18. Graffiti were found on playground equipment.

Van Buren St., 500 block, 10:30 p.m. April 15 to 7 a.m. April 17. A knife, change and a bottle of medication were stolen from a vehicle.

INDECENT EXPOSURES

Nutley St. and Courthouse Rd. SW, 12:25 p.m. April 24. A driver pulled up next to a jogger at a traffic light and exposed himself. He drove away before police arrived.

ASSAULTS

Church St. NW, 100 block, 1 p.m. March 15 to 1 p.m. April 18. A restaurant employee reported that another employee made verbal threats and had assaulted her in the past. A 30-year-old Vienna man was arrested for assault and battery.

Dominion Rd. NE, 300 block, 5 p.m. April 22. Several items were stolen from a backpack on the front seat of a vehicle.

Frederick St. SW, 6000 Block, 12:32 p.m. April 22. A woman reported that someone filed a tax return using her Social Security number.

Glyndon St. NE, 500 block, 9 p.m. April 22 to 8:30 p.m. April 23. Eight solar lamps were stolen from outside a residence.

Maple Ave. E., 300 block, 4:23 p.m. April 20. A man and a woman were involved in an argument that turned physical. Witnesses reported that the man used his vehicle to strike the woman’s vehicle several times, then fled the area. A small child was observed in the back seat of the striking vehicle. The woman was trapped in her vehicle and needed the assistance of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue squad to be extricated. She was treated at a hospital. The man was found in Fairfax City. A 31-year-old Maryland man was charged with felony assault, hit and run and abuse and neglect of a child.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Kelly St. SW, 1200 block, 5:30 p.m. April 16 to 5:30 a.m. April 17. An iPod was stolen from a vehicle.

Patrick St. SE, 100 block, 6 p.m. April 21 to 6 a.m. April 22. Construction tools were stolen from two vehicles.

VANDALISM

Maple Ave. E., 300 block, 5 p.m. April 16. The rear passenger door of a vehicle in a parking lot was damaged.
