Dulles Corner Park, 2400 block, 1 to 4 p.m. June 8, 9, 15 and 16. Two men, claiming to be maintenance workers, removed koi fish from a Herndon area business park’s pond and placed them in large coolers. An investigation found that they were not maintenance workers.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Richmond Hwy., 9500 block, 10 p.m. June 24. An 18-year-old woman reported that someone touched her buttocks, then ran away. No injuries were reported.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

Edgemar Woods Ct., 9200 block, 9:10 a.m. June 25. A 22-year-old woman reported a person looking into her home. The person fled when she screamed.

ASSAULTS

Franconia Rd., 6100 block, 2:20 a.m. June 23. Police, responding to a report of a fight, found a 31-year-old man with lacerations on his face. A 29-year-old Maryland man was charged with malicious wounding and public drunkenness.

ROBBERIES

Springfield Mall, 6500 block, 10:20 p.m. June 24. A 27-year-old man attempted to purchase electronic items from two men he met online. They met at the Franconia-Springfield Metro station and went to a parking garage at the mall, where the two men pulled out a gun, robbed him of cash and fled on foot.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

Carlyn Ct., 3300 block, 10:35 a.m. June 25. Police, responding to a report of a man exposing himself, arrested a 65-year-old man of no fixed address and charged him with simulated masturbation, trespassing and public drunkenness.

Leesburg Pike and Payne St., 10:20 p.m. June 21. Police, responding to a report of a naked man in the street, arrested a 29-year-old man of no fixed address and charged him with indecent exposure, public drunkenness and pedestrian impeding traffic.

ASSAULTS

Woodburn Rd., 3300 block, 5 a.m. June 23. An 18-year-old man stabbed a 17-year-old male acquaintance during an altercation. An 18-year-old Falls Church man was charged with malicious wounding. The other male was treated for his injuries.

ROBBERIES

Seven Corners Center, 6300 block, 2:20 a.m. June 22. Two men attempted to shoplift beer from a business. When confronted by the manager, they threatened him and fled with the beer. No injuries were reported.

Wingate St., 6300 block, 3:45 a.m. June 24. A man with a weapon walked up behind a male as he opened the trunk of his car and demanded the items inside. He grabbed the items and fled. No injuries were reported.

ASSAULTS

Elkin St. and Fort Hunt Rd., 9:30 p.m. June 22. Police, responding to a report of a naked man running in the street, arrested a 20-year-old Alexandria man and charged him with indecent exposure, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.

Fielding St., 4000 block, 11 p.m. June 20. Several boys assaulted a 14-year-old boy who was attempting to retrieve his bicycle from a park. One boy took his bicycle and another took his basketball. Minor injuries were reported. Three juveniles were identified and charges are pending.

South Kings Hwy., 6300 block, 12:30 a.m. June 23. Police, responding to a report of a fight, located two females fighting. One woman shattered a window of the police vehicle after being arrested. An 18-year-old Fort Belvoir woman was charged with assault and battery, destruction of property and public drunkenness. No serious injuries were reported.

Lake Fairfax Dr., 1400 block, 4 p.m. June 22. Police, investigating a report of a man touching a 26-year-old woman inappropriately, arrested a 41-year-old Fairfax man and charged him with sexual battery.

ASSAULTS

Leesburg Pike, 11200 block, 7 p.m. June 22. Two men got out of a pickup truck at a garden center, produced a gun and demanded cash from an employee. When the employee complied, they assaulted the person and fled.

ROBBERIES

Centreville Rd., 2500 block, 9:30 p.m. June 22. A man robbed a 55-year-old male withdrawing cash from an ATM. He grabbed the man’s cash and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, police arrested a 35-year-old Fairfax area man and charged him with robbery.

HOMICIDES

Travers Ct., 4100 block, 11:19 a.m. June 25. A 20-year-old man stabbed his 24-year-old brother and then stabbed a 61-year-old man who tried to intervene. The older man ran downstairs and the 20-year-old then shot himself in the upper body. Haseeb Raza, 24, of Chantilly died of the stab wound. His brother died June 27. The older man is recovering.

I66 and Route 29, 11:10 p.m. June 22. A police officer stopped a vehicle that had been reported stolen. A passenger in the vehicle ran away and was not located. Other passengers were released. A 17-year-old Manassas male was charged with grand larceny and driving with a revoked license.

Fairfax Blvd.,9500 block, June 22. A man struck a 45-year-old man in the face during a conversation. A 35-year-old Fairfax man was charged with assault.

Fairfax Blvd., 10800 block, 5:10 a.m. June 24. A woman threw a beer bottle and yelled at police officers investigating a complaint at a motel. The woman resisted arrest and attempted to kick an officer. A 54-year-old woman was charged with intentionally throwing an object off a balcony to cause injury to another, assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Chain Bridge Rd., 4300 block, 11:57 p.m. June 20. A male was observed taking cigarettes and keys from a vehicle in a parking lot. He attempted to enter other vehicles before leaving in a vehicle.

Fairfax Blvd., 11000 block, 12:41 p.m. June 23. A female was observed placing merchandise in her purse. She left the area in a vehicle.

Jermantown Rd., 3600 block, June 19. An iPod was stolen from a backpack at an elementary school.

Jones St., 10600 block, 10 a.m. June 20. Two employees of a remodeling business obtained checks from the business office, forged a signature and deposited the checks into their personal bank accounts. Both men were charged with embezzlement, forgery and uttering.

Main St., 9900 block, 4:39 p.m. June 24. An employee of a business took a business credit card from an authorized user and made unauthorized charges on the account. A 47-year-old Fredericksburg woman was charged with embezzlement.

Main St.,10500 block, 6:30 a.m. June 25. A cabinet containing cash was stolen from a preschool administrative office.

Mosby Woods Dr., 10100 block, 5:52 p.m. June 18. TVs and video games were stolen from a residence. Investigation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Woodbridge man, who was charged with grand larceny.

Old Lee Hwy., 3200 block, 5:54 p.m. June 10. A store security officer observed a man opening merchandise packages, removing items and concealing them in his sweat pants. A 46-year-old Fairfax area man was charged with petty larceny.

Old Lee Hwy., 3300 block, 9:17 p.m. June 20. A purse containing cash, credit cards, checks and identification was stolen from a vehicle entered by smashing a window. Attempts were made to enter two other vehicles but nothing was reported stolen.

University Dr., 3900 block, 5:13 p.m. June 19. A male stole a bottle of beer from a convenience store.

Woodland Dr., 4000 block, 8:11 p.m. June 22. A juvenile male stole a pair of sneakers from a porch of a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Fairfax Blvd., 10400 block, 10:51 p.m. June 24. An employee of the service department of an auto dealership used a vehicle at the dealership for service without permission. The employee was contacted and returned the vehicle. A 43-year-old Woodbridge man was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

VANDALISM

Jermantown Rd., 3800 block, 1:35 p.m. June 21. Paint on a vehicle was scratched.

Trowbridge St., 4100 block, 7 p.m. June 20 to 7:48 p.m. June 21. Two unlocked vehicles were entered; the glove boxes and center consoles were searched but nothing was reported stolen.

Vanderbilt Ct., 4100 block, 11:40 p.m. June 21. The vehicle’s tire seal and cap were damaged.

Maple Ave. E., 300 block, 4:32 p.m. June 25. A grocery store employee observed a woman in the self-checkout line not scanning all of her items. An investigation found that she had also placed items in her purse. A 42-year-old Vienna woman was charged with concealment of merchandise.

Nutley St. Sw, 500 block, 12:01 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 26. A charge was made on a woman’s credit card account without her knowledge. The incident is under investigation.
