Stoddard Ct., 6000 block, 3:20 p.m. July 3. A 23-year-old woman saw a man looking in her window. He fled before police arrived.

Woodside Lane, 7500 block, 10:55 p.m. July 5. A 28-year-old woman saw a man looking in her window. He fled before police arrived.

Backlick Rd., 6400 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle.

Barry Rd., 7200 block, 10:15 a.m. July 10. A real estate inspector found evidence that someone had entered a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

INDECENT EXPOSURES

Little River Tpk. and Oasis Dr., 7 a.m. July 9. A man exposed and groped himself while watching women at a bus stop. Police think the same man was seen in the area July 5.

ASSAULTS

Annandale Rd., 4200 block, 1:50 a.m. July 5. An intoxicated man refused to obey police commands when they were conducting an investigation. A 46-year-old Maryland man was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.

ROBBERIES

Beauregard St., 4900 block, 11:50 p.m. July 7. Two juvenile boys attempted to snatch a purse from a 55-year-old woman. The woman yelled and held on to the purse; the boys fled.

Manitoba Dr., 4900 block, 5:40 p.m. July 3. Five men accosted a 34-year-old man and robbed him of cash.

Airlie Way, 4500 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

ASSAULTS

Idylwood and Barbour Roads, 4:55 p.m. July 4. A driver sped away when a police officer attempted to stop him for a traffic violation. He eventually slowed his vehicle, jumped out and fled on foot. A 22-year-old Falls Church man was charged with assault on a police officer, DWI, speed to elude and driving without a license. The police officer was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The man was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

Arbor Lane, 7000 block, 7:30 a.m. July 7. Jewelry and cash were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

Byrns Pl., 6600 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Cartbridge Rd., 2200 block. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

Lee Hwy., 8500 block, 12:25 a.m. July 10. Police, responding to a commercial burglary alarm, found a person inside the business. A 25-year-old Alexandria man was charged with burglary, grand larceny, larceny with intent to sell and possession of burglary tools. The business was entered by forcing a window.

Fordson Rd., 7200 block, 5:45 a.m. July 7. A person pushed and punched two men, then robbed them of cash and fled.

Glendale Terr., 2300 block, 9:40 p.m. July 10. Three men demanded keys from a woman as she stepped out of her car. She screamed and the men fled.

Belle View Blvd., 1600 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Fordson Rd., 8100 block. 9:45 a.m. July 4. Tools were stolen from a community pool entered by forcing a front door.

Fordson Rd., 8000 block, 9:30 p.m. July 7. Police, responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle, found a woman driving a rented truck that was overdue in another state. A 50-year-old woman of no fixed address was charged with unauthorized use.

Richmond Hwy., 8500 block. A 2008 Nissan Sentra was stolen.

Sacramento Dr. and Francisco Way, A 1996 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen.

Astoria Cir., 2100 block, 1 a.m. July 10. A 17-year-old boy was stabbed during an argument at a party. The youth was treated at a hospital.

Aldbury Way, 1300 block, 2:30 p.m. July 7. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

Democracy Dr., 11900 block. A purse and a passport were stolen from a vehicle.

Fairway Dr., 11400 block. A cellphone and cable were stolen from a vehicle.

Greywing Sq., 12000 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.

Lake Fairfax Dr., 1400 block, 6:15 a.m. July 9. A pool area was entered. There was no sign of forced entry.

ASSAULTS

American Holly Rd., 8100 block, 5:45 p.m. July 7. Police were called about a person who had been stabbed. A 54-year-old woman was found with several cuts. A 21-year-old Lorton man was charged with malicious wounding. The woman was treated at a hospital.

Heritage Dr., 7900 block, 8 p.m. July 9. A group of men walked up behind a 73-year-old woman walking from a bus stop. One man grabbed her purse and then threatened her and struck her several times. The woman was treated at a hospital.

ROBBERIES

Allman Dr. and McWhorter Pl., 12:20 p.m. July 9. Two juveniles brandished a knife and robbed a 13-year-old girl of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Fairfax Blvd., 11100 block, 1:12 p.m. July 3. A man attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a bank, and police detained him as he attempted to leave the bank. An investigation revealed that the man and two others had cashed several fraudulent checks drawn on an area business. A 26-year-old Richmond man was charged with forgery. Warrants were obtained for the other two people charging them with forgery and obtaining funds by false pretense.

Main St., 9600 block, 3:21 p.m. July 5. A man in a store was observed concealing merchandise in his shirt. A 38-year-old District man was charged with petty larceny.

Main St., 9900 block, 3:29 p.m. July 7. A male was observed taking merchandise from a store.

Tedrich Blvd., 3700 block, 12:30 a.m. July 4. Two bicycles were stolen from an unlocked garage at a residence. Police, responding to a report of suspicious activity, observed two males walking away from two bicycles. A 20-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with interfering with the property rights of another. A 16-year-old male was released to his mother’s custody. Juvenile petitions charging him with unlawful entry and grand larceny are pending.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Fairfax Blvd., 10900 block, Jan 3 to July 6. A 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2013 Hyundai Sonata were stolen from an auto dealership lot.

VANDALISM

Cedar Ave., 10800 block, 7 p.m. July 5 to 7:41 a.m. July 6. Red silly string was wiped on the side of a white vehicle.

Chain Bridge Rd., 3500 block, 5:24 a.m. July 1. Graffiti were spray painted on the front windows of a restaurant.

Lyndhurst Dr., 3900 block, 7 p.m. July 6 to 10:28 a.m. July 7. Paint on a vehicle was scratched with a sharp object.

Preservation Dr., 3400 block, 8:30 p.m. July 7 to 10:48 a.m. July 8. Pry marks caused dents on a vehicle but it was not entered.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Center St. S., 100 block, 1:30 a.m. July 10. A man observed two males enter his vehicle, then walk away. Two Vienna men, 21 and 22, were charged with vehicle tampering and petty larceny.

Mill St. NE., 300 block, 1 p.m. May 11 to 1 p.m. June 6. A man and a woman rented two tow-behind smoker/grills to be returned May 13. The grills were not returned; attempts to contact the man and woman have been unsuccessful.

Park St. SE, 100 block, 5 p.m. July 9 to 8 a.m. July 10. The back door of a business was damaged but the building was not entered.

Ware St. SW, 1200 block, 3:58 a.m. July 6. Police observed two juveniles wearing swim trunks and carrying trash bags containing beer. Investigation revealed that they had jumped a fence at a residence and swam in the swimming pool, then took several cans of beer. The homeowner had not given them permission to swim in the pool or to take beer from his coolers.

VANDALISM

Ayr Hill Ave. NE, 200 block, 10 p.m. July 4 to 6 a.m. July 5. A mailbox was knocked off its post.

Ross Dr. SW, 200 block, 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 4. Two tires on a vehicle were slashed.
