Recovering farm animals on the mend
Seven animals — three horses, two goats, a calf and a chicken — have been attacked in three separate incidents at a Herndon park since April. Each was discovered with similar slash wounds. A 17-year-old suspect was arrested in late June, but on July 7 or 8, one of the three horses used in a therapy program was again attacked. Fairfax County police are investigating.
