A 52-year-old Herndon man was killed during an armed robbery in Arlington Friday afternoon, police said. The suspect, police said, is still at large.

Police said they discovered the victim dead inside a jewelry store on the 3200 block of Columbia Pike just prior to midnight on Friday after family members said he had not returned home.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect, who they described as a 5 ft. 7 in. black male with a medium build who wore a neon traffic vest.

Police said the suspect should be considered dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Richard Conigliaro at 703-228-4193.

Police have not named the victim.
