Horses seized at Maryland breeder

Investigators say many of the roughly 150 purebred Polish Arabian stallions at Canterbury Farms on Maryland’s Eastern Shore were emaciated, had parasites or had infected hooves.

One of the horses seized from Canterbury Farms. “We’ve been monitoring these horses over the last six months, and our assessment is that they really just took a turn for the worse,” said David MacGlashan, director of Queen Anne’s animal services department.
