How do I call for help if 911 isn’t working?
Howard County officials say they are confident 911 will remain operational. For non-emergency inquiries, Howard County’s call center is open for questions and information and can be reached at 410-313-2900.
When will my trash be picked up?
Trash and recycling pick-up has been canceled through Tuesday.
Are schools closed?
All Howard County Public Schools are canceled through Tuesday.
Who do I call if my power is out?
To report power outages, call BGE at 1-877-778-2222.
Where are local shelters?
The Bain Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way in Columbia is open as a shelter. Since personal space is limited, those needing to shelter are encouraged to bring only essential items including medications/medical equipment, food, if there are any dietary restrictions, personal care items, sleeping bags/bedding. Pets will be allowed – bring crates and food for your pet.
Is public transportation running?
Howard Transit services are canceled through Tuesday.
