Two women slainin Oxon Hill

Two women were found slain inside an Oxon Hill home Saturday morning, Prince George’s County police said.

Officers were called to the home in the 5500 block of Chloe Drive around 7:50 a.m. for a welfare check, police said. When they arrived, they found the women suffering from trauma to the body. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Malcolm Paul Thomas, 54, also of Chloe Drive, was arrested Saturday in Sussex County, Va. and charged with murder. Police said the incident was domestic in nature.

Man fatally shotin Lanham

A 26-year-old man who was shot in a Lanham parking lot Friday night has died of his injuries, Prince George’s County police said.

Police said they were called to the 8600 block of Greenbelt Road about 11 p.m. and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, Shayne Francis Snipes of Lanham, died hours later, they said. Police said they do not think the shooting was random.

VIRGINIA
Police chase on I-66leads to crash

A police chase Saturday on Interstate 66 in the Arlington and Fairfax county areas led to a crash that caused six injuries and blocked the eastbound lanes of the highway for about an hour, authorities said.

The incident began shortly after 3 p.m. when the state police made a traffic stop in Fairfax County. As police were taking the driver into custody on an outstanding warrant, the passenger drove off, state police said. Police pursued the car, and when it was apparently blocked by traffic, near Sycamore Street in Arlington, it crashed.
