ALDIE AREA
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

John S. Mosby Hwy. and Fleetwood Rd., 11 p.m. Sept. 22. A taxi driver was assaulted and forced out of the vehicle. The assailant fled in the taxi.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Knoll Sq., 44000 block, 3 p.m. Sept. 21 to 6 a.m. Sept. 23. Building materials, copper and tools were stolen from a construction site.

Tuliptree Sq., 500 block, 7:10 p.m. Sept. 19. Credit card fraud was reported.

PHILOMONT AREA
ASSAULTS

Lime Kiln Rd., 38000 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 24. Police responded to a report of a man shooting at his wife, who was behind a vehicle at a home. Police secured the area and took the man into custody.

PURCELLVILLE AREA
ASSAULTS

Main St. E., 400 block, 10:30 p.m. Sept. 18. A witness reported that two men were having a verbal altercation at an ATM and that one pointed a handgun at the other. Both men left the area before police arrived.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Kinvara Pl., 600 block, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19. Property was stolen from a residence.

Main St. E., 800 block, 9 a.m. Sept. 18. Items were stolen from a vehicle in a parking lot at a business.
