THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Castleton Dr., 24900 block, 6:50 p.m. Oct. 17. A resident got a call from someone claiming to be with the IRS saying that the resident was behind in tax payments. The caller said the resident must get prepaid cash cards to pay the amount. The resident refused. Someone else got onto the phone and claimed to be with the police department.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Standford Sq., 21000 block, 3 to 8 a.m. Oct. 14. Documents and cash were stolen from a vehicle.

ROBBERIES

21st St. N., 100 block, 11:24 p.m. Oct. 14. Several people with guns entered an apartment, assaulted an occupant and fled with cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Hillsboro Rd., 15700 block, Oct. 11 to Oct. 12. Farm equipment was stolen.

Telegraph Springs Rd., 18700 block, 7 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. Oct. 14. Copper was stolen from a job site.

STERLING AREA
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Cedar Green Rd., 22400 block, June 19 to Oct. 17. A vehicle was stolen from a car rental company parking lot.

Shaw Rd. and Holiay Park Dr., 12:02 a.m. Oct. 16. A deputy saw a motorist speeding and driving erratically. During a traffic stop, it was determined that the vehicle belonged to a car rental company and had not been returned. A man, 23, of no fixed address was charged with grand larceny.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Coventry Sq., 200 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 11 to noon Oct. 12. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Malibu Terr., 24600 block, 9 to 10 a.m. Oct. 13. Home appliances were stolen from a construction site.

Stukely Dr., 43400 block, 5 to 6 p.m. Oct. 14. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

STONE RIDGE AREA
VANDALISM

Fiddlehead Pl., 42000 block, 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 15. Decorations were damaged at a residence, and a glass cover of a lamppost was removed.

SOUTH RIDING AREA
VANDALISM

Nations St., 42500 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 22 to 8 a.m. Oct. 13. Nine vehicles were vandalized with eggs, paint balls and glitter.
