August 11, 2014

A Loudoun County teen died Friday after he was injured while filming stunts with a friend.

Police identified the teenager on Monday as Mohammed U. Khalid, 17, of Sterling. They said that at about 10 p.m. on Aug. 5, Khalid was recording a video of himself climbing onto the trunk of a Subaru while his friend, an 18-year-old who has not been identified, drove in the parking lot of an Ethan Allen store in Sterling.

The driver turned, and Khalid fell off the car. He suffered a severe head injury.

A Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said Monday that the circumstances remained under investigation.
