Magnitude 2.0 earthquake rattles central Virginia
A small earthquake rattled central Virginia Wednesday night, near the epicenter of the August 2011 tremblor that was felt up and down the east coast.
Wednesday’s earthquake happened around 6 p.m. near the town of Mineral, in Louisa County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake registered a mere 2.0 magnitude, but people as far as Virginia Beach, Silver Spring and the District described feeling its effects.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries as a result of the quake.
