Man arrested for flashing women in Silver Spring elevator

He would dress in business attire and follow a woman onto an elevator. He would hold a shirt on a hanger, as if he’d come straight from the dry cleaners.

But police say behind that put-together facade, a Germantown man liked to leave one important zipper unzipped.

When the elevator door closed, his shirt would slide away. Women would soon exit the elevator reaching for cellphones to call police.

Ryan De Leon, 33, of the 19200 block of Misty Meadow Terrace in Germantown, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of indecent exposure, Montgomery County police announced Friday.

The three alleged incidents occurred between May 23 and June 2, and all in the Wayne Avenue parking garage in Silver Spring, according to police.

DeLeon is being held on a $15,000 bond and detectives say they believe he may have had additional victims. Montgomery police urge anyone who may have experienced a similar incident to call the department at 301-565-5835.
