Forty under 40 to be honored in Prince George’s on Thursday

By ,

Forty Prince George’s residents are to be honored Thursday evening for making a significant contribution to their communities.

The second annual Forty Under 40 event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at National Harbor’s Sunset Room.

The effort is the brainchild of county resident Tonia Wellons of Upper Marlboro, a former development specialist at the World Bank, who founded the program to help spotlight county residents who may not be well known but who are contributing to their communities.

Wellons is now too old for the honor herself. She recently turned 40.

This year’ s honorees are here.
