Prince George’s offers contacts for storm-related problems

Prince George’s is preparing to deploy more than 240 vehicles and 300 employees beginning at 2 a.m. Wednesday to cover more than 1900 miles of county-maintained roads to clean up from the expected major snowstorm, county officials said Tuesday. Crews will be working 12-hour, round-the-clock shifts.

Residents are encouraged to park on even-numbered sides of the streets or in driveways. Updates will be available from the county’s Web site. Residents also can call the county’s snow information center at 301-350-0500 or 311 to report problems, and may also make reports on the county’s Web site. Officials predict that it might take up to 12 hours or more to clear the roads.
