Men killed in Glenn Dale crash identified

March 26, 2013

Police have identified the two men killed in a T-bone collision in the Glenn Dale area of Prince George’s County on Monday morning as Leo Castro and Jose Rodrigeuez.

Castro, 46, and Rodrigeuez,30, both of Lanham, were riding in a Honda that was trying to make a left turn into a driveway or business off Lanham Severn Road when it was T-boned by an Audi, police said. The two men were among four from both cars taken to the hospital, and they later died, police said.

The drivers of the Honda and the Audi were hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life threatening, police said.

The crash occurred about 8 a.m. in the 10000 block of Lanham Severn Road, as falling snow reduced visibility and made the ground wet. Fire officials had said initially that weather conditions were possibly a factor in the collision, though police said Tuesday that they were still probing a cause.
