Dogs in traffic: Loft Way, 1700 block, Silver Spring, Sept. 13. An animal control officer, responding to a report of two dogs running among moving vehicles, secured a Siberian husky mix and a mixed-breed dog. The owner arrived in time to retrieve the dogs and receive two $100 citations for allowing the dogs to wander.

Horses leap a low spot: Medd Ave., 3500 block, Damascus, Sept. 10. Two horses were detained after being found wandering on an adjacent property. Their owner did not know that they had gotten loose, and it was determined that they had jumped a low spot in a fence. The owner was advised to fix the fence to avoid additional citations for allowing the animals to roam.
