Cat’s last sidewalk siesta: Bilney Dr., 18000 block, Olney, Sept. 21. A pet owner walking a mixed-breed dog passed a cat lying on the sidewalk. Without warning, the dog grabbed the orange tabby in its mouth and, while attempting to free the cat, the owner was scratched and bitten. When the dog released the cat, the cat fled. A humane box trap was set in an attempt to capture the tabby, which was identified and found to be up-to-date on its rabies vaccination.
