Beall Ave., 400 block, 12:55 a.m. July 9. A break-in occurred at an elementary school. Two male teenagers from Rockville were arrested at the scene.

Captain’s Walk Ct., 11100 block, 3:05 a.m. July 7. An attempt was made to steal property from a vehicle. Two males fled empty-handed when confronted.

Choke Cherry Rd., unit block, 8:45 p.m. July 8 to 7:30 a.m. July 9. Property was stolen from a construction site in an underground garage entered by force.

Crabbs Branch Way, 15700 block, 10 a.m. July 4 to 9 a.m. July 5. Property was stolen from a cleaning company.

Crownwood Ct., unit block, 10:30 p.m. July 8 to 7:15 a.m. July 9. An unlocked vehicle was entered.

Flowerfield Rd., 13500 block, 8:15 a.m. July 10. An attempt was made to break into a residence. A 58-year-old Montgomery Village man was arrested.

Prettyman Dr., 100 block, noon to 12:48 p.m. July 5. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Randolph Rd., 4700 block, 6:30 p.m. July 6 to 9:30 a.m. July 9. Property was stolen from a medical building entered by force.

Forest Glen area, 4:30 p.m. July 4. A person sexually assaulted an acquaintance. An investigation is continuing into the possible involvement of several accomplices.

Old Georgetown Road area south of the Beltway, 4 p.m. July 3. A person sexually assaulted an acquaintance.

ROBBERIES

East West Hwy., 1900 block, 12:45 a.m. July 3. A person struck a person and demanded property, then fled empty-handed.

Georgetown Branch Trail, 7:45 p.m. July 6. Two males threatened a pedestrian and demanded property, then fled empty-handed.

Rockville Pike, 11300 block, 7:50 p.m. July 10. A male wearing a ski mask and armed with a weapon robbed a person at a shopping mall.

Wisconsin Ave., 7200 block, 10:15 a.m. July 4. A man threatened a person and demanded property, then fled empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bethesda Ave., 4800 block, 11 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. July 5. Automobile parts were stolen from a vehicle.

Capitol View Ave., 10100 block, Carriage Rd., 9600 block, Ferndale St., 3000 block, Inverness Dr., 3800 block, Kincaid Terr., 3900 block, Mannakee St., 10400 block, Oberton St., 3300 block, and University Blvd., 3700 block, July 2 to 9. Laptop computers, iPods, GPS units and golf clubs were among property stolen from eight vehicles, one of which was entered by force. The incidents occurred during overnight hours.

Connecticut Ave., 10500 block, 3 a.m. July 11. A male wearing a mask stole merchandise from a convenience store.

Blandford St., 400 block, 1:33 a.m. Feb. 23. A 29-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault.

Julian Pl., 1000 block, 10:31 p.m. A 58-year-old man was charged with first- and second-degree assault.

King Farm Blvd.,900 block, 5:20 a.m. July 11. Two people threatened a woman with whom a meeting had been arranged, then robbed her of a laptop computer, two cellphones and an iPad.

Lincoln St., 400 block, July 13. A 21-year-old man was charged with first- and second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Atlantic Ave., 13100 block, 12:30 to 6 p.m. July 10. A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle.

Chapman Ave., 1700 block, 6:10 July 12. A 21-year-old man was charged with theft.

Charles St., 100 block, 12:01 a.m. July 5 to 11 p.m. July 10. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

Choke Cherry Rd., unit block, 8:45 p.m. July 8 to 7:39 a.m. July 9. Copper wire, a hammer drill and a saw were among property stolen from a construction-site storage room entered by forcing a door.

Crawford Dr., 1000 block, March 24. In connection with a break-in at this address, an 18-year-old man was arrested June 15, and a 15-year-old male was arrested July 2. Charges included first-, second- and fourth-degree burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property.

Crawford Dr., 5700 block, 8 a.m. July 12 to 2 a.m. July 13. A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle.

Darnestown Rd., 9200 block, 2:30 p.m. July 12 to 6 a.m. July 13. Copper wire was stolen from a storage room in an unsecured building at a construction site that was entered by force.

Martins Lane, 300 block, 12:15 to 3 p.m. July 13. Headphones, a flash drive, an iPod charger and cash were stolen from a backpack in a locked shed.

Maryland Ave., unit block, Nov. 9. In connection with an incident at this address, a 50-year-old man was arrested June 29, and charged with theft.

Rockville Pike,700 block, 6 p.m. July 11 to 7 a.m. July 12. Four storage tanks were stolen from a construction site.

Rockville Pike, 1700 block, 5:15 p.m. July 11 to 11:30 a.m. July 12. Cash was stolen from an unlocked safe in an office.

Twinbrook Pkwy., 600 block, noon July 6 to 9 p.m. July 9. Cash was stolen from a lockbox at a residence.

Veirs Mill Rd., 1600 block, July 13. A wallet containing cash and a credit card was stolen from a vehicle.

Westmore Rd., 7400 block, 7 p.m. July 6 to 10:30 a.m. July 10. Two tires were stolen from a vehicle parked at an auto repair shop.

New Hampshire Ave., 6500 block, 8:25 a.m. July 17. A man threatened a man at knifepoint. A 59-year-old man was charged with assault.

University Boulevard and Anne Street, 1:35 a.m. July 14. A male threatened a male at knifepoint.

13th Ave., 7200 block, 1:12 a.m. July 14. During an argument, a man attacked a male acquaintance. A 39-year-old man was arrested.

New Hampshire Ave., 7400 block, 12:16 a.m. July 16. A man who said that he was a cable TV technician accepted cash for services, then fled without performing legitimate work.

University Blvd., 1300 block, 4:11 p.m. July 17. A shoplifting incident occurred.

Valley View Ave., unit block, 11:40 a.m. July 16. A bicycle was stolen from a driveway at a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Holly Ave., 7400 block, 7 a.m. July 18. A black 2000 Jeep Cherokee was stolen. It was recovered that same day in the District.

Linden Ave., 1100 block, 10:13 p.m. July 13. An attempt was made to steal a 2005 Dodge Neon by tampering with a door lock.
