Shady Grove Rd., 14900 block, 8:44 a.m. Aug. 17. A man attacked a person in a parking lot at a coffee shop. A 59-year-old Rockville man was charged with aggravated assault.

ROBBERIES

Heatherton Lane, 7500 block, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 21. A man grabbed property from a person, then ran away.

WEAPONS OFFENSES

Somerville Dr., 15900 block, 12:20 a.m. Aug. 21. A man at a train station committed a weapons violation. A 23-year-old King George, Va., man was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Alloway Dr., 10800 block, Accord Dr., 9600 block, Clydesdale St., 9700 block, Conestoga Way, 9700 block, Falls Rd., 9300 block, Hall Rd., 9600 block, Holbrook Dr., 10300 block, Logan Dr., 9900 block, and Stanmore Dr., 11000 block, Aug. 15 to 16. Cash was among property stolen overnight from several unlocked vehicles

Atlantic Ave., 13200 block, 3 to 4 a.m. Aug. 19. Property was stolen from a vehicle in a convenience store parking lot.

Atwell Ct., unit block, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Bounty Cove Ct., 10500 block, Aug. 13 to 19. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Clagett Dr. and Maple Ave., 6 to 6:11 a.m. Aug. 19. A cellphone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Dean Dr., 300 block, 6 to 6:11 a.m. Aug. 19. A vehicle break-in occurred. Two Rockville males, ages 17 and 19, were arrested.

Grinnell Ct., unit block, 10:30 p.m. Aug. 13 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 14. An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Grinnell Terr., 15500 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 13 to 5 a.m. Aug. 14. Cash and a transit farecard were among property stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

Long Trail Terr., 200 block, 1:20 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 17. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Maple Ave., 900 block, 6 to 6:11 a.m. Aug. 19. Cash, a DVD player, a tote bag and nine DVDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Pellita Terr., 14000 block, 11:15 p.m. Aug. 21. An attempt was made to break into a vehicle. Two males were seen fleeing empty-handed.

Trailridge Dr., 11800 block, 5 to 6 p.m. Aug. 16. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Tuckerman Lane, 7900 block, 11 a.m. Aug. 18. A man approached a motorist in a parking lot and offered to fix a dent on her vehicle. She said that she turned him down but that when she came out of the store, he said he had fixed it and that she had agreed to pay him $700 for the repair. A friend of the motorist’s saw where the man had drilled holes in the trunk, near the dent, and asked him for identification. He then fled in a white SUV.

Village Square Terr., 12500 block, 1 to 6:30 a.m. Aug. 20. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force.

Wapello Way, 15600 block, 1 to 8 a.m. Aug. 14. A video game system, eight video games and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

White Tail Way, 15100 block, 11:20 a.m. to noon Aug. 16. A residence was entered by force.A 26-year-old Rockville man was arrested.

Georgia Ave., 9500 block, 8:39 p.m. Aug. 16. A man robbed a gas station of cash at gunpoint.

Hillwood Dr., 10700 block, 4:40 p.m. Aug. 19. Two men threatened a person at a public storage business, then fled with property.

Lockwood and Oakleaf drives, 2:20 p.m. Aug. 20. A male threatened a person at a bus stop, then fled with property.

National Dr. and Old Columbia Pike, 11 p.m. Aug. 16. Two males and a female threatened a person in a parking lot, then fled with property.

Beacon Rd., 700 block, 3 a.m. Aug. 19. A break-in occurred at an elementary school. A 13-year-old Adelphi male and a 17-year-old Silver Spring male were arrested.

Montgomery Village Ave., 19000 block, 7:20 p.m. Aug. 21. Three males threatened and robbed a person.

Smoothstone Way, 18900 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 20. An attempt was made to break into a residence. A 17-year-old Montgomery Village male was tracked down by a K-9 unit and arrested.

Trotters Ridge Lane, 800 block, 7 p.m. Aug. 19. Two males threatened a person and demanded property. After a brief struggle, the assailants fled empty-handed.

INDECENT EXPOSURE INCIDENTS

Duvall Lane, 100 block, 9:45 a.m. Aug. 13. A 51-year-old Gaithersburg man was arrested on indecent exposure charges.

ASSAULTS

Lemay Rd., 9:37 p.m. Aug. 23. A 38-year-old man was arrested on charges of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Chantilly Ct., unit block, 6 a.m. April 20 to 6 p.m. April 21. An 18-year-old woman was charged with theft.

Claggett Dr., 300 block, 6:11 a.m. Aug. 19. A 19-year-old man was arrested on charges that included theft, being rogue and vagabond, and making a false statement to police. In connection with the same incident, a 17-year-old male was charged with theft and intent to commit theft.

Clemson Ct., unit block, 8 p.m. Aug. 21 to 9 a.m. Aug. 23. A delivery package containing kitchen utensils was stolen from the front porch of a residence.

College Pkwy., 800 block, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 18. Two antique pens, a watch and two large containers were stolen from a storage locker at an apartment building.

Crabb Ave., 200 block, July 31. A 37-year-old man was arrested on theft and forgery charges.

Crocus Dr., 800 block, 8:50 p.m. Aug. 12. In connection with an incident at this location, a 17-year-old female was charged with third- degree burglary and attempted theft.

Farragut Ave., 1700 block, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 25. A welding tool was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Hungerford Dr., 600 block, 3:15 to 5 p.m. Aug. 24. A wallet and a set of keys were stolen from a woman at a health center.

Hungerford Dr., 800 block, 12:30 to 1:05 p.m. Aug. 25. A backpack containing two hand-held video game systems, a video game and clothes was stolen.

Montgomery Ave. W., 700 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 2 to 11 p.m. Aug. 5. Cash was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

Princeton Pl., 700 block, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 20. A delivery package containing four DVDs and nail polish remover was stolen from the front porch of a residence.

Research Blvd., 2400 block, 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Aug. 23. A laptop computer was stolen from a desk at a business.

Ridgemont Dr., 100 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 20 to 4:50 p.m. Aug. 22. A radio/CD/DVD player and four wheel caps were stolen from a vehicle.

Rockville Pike, 200 block, 2 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 26. A cellphone was stolen from a passenger on a Metro train.

Rockville Pike, 700 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25. More than 40 bottles of cologne were stolen from a retail store. A man was seen fleeing with the property.

Rockville Pike, 1100 block, 4:30 to 4:50 p.m. Aug. 22. Cash was stolen from a purse left in a showroom.

Rockville Pike, 1600 block, 1 p.m. Aug. 16. Four bottles of shampoo were stolen from a retail store. A woman was seen fleeing with the property in a silver-colored sedan.

Shady Grove Rd., 14900 block, 4:08 p.m. Aug. 22. A 29-year-old man was charged with theft.

Shady Grove Rd., 16000 block, 3:30 to 5 a.m. Aug. 19. A 42-year-old woman was charged with theft.

New Hampshire Ave., 7400 block, 9:45 a.m. Aug. 26. During an argument over a parking spot, a male snatched a motorist’s cellphone, then fled.

New Hampshire Ave., 7400 block, 2:39 a.m. Aug. 27. A 20-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for armed robbery.

Boyd Ave., 300 block, 6:55 a.m. Aug. 28. A bicycle was stolen from the front porch of a residence. Its cable lock had been cut.
