Piney Meetinghouse Rd., 13100 block, 7 to 8:36 p.m. Sept. 24. Two acquaintances fought each other. A 34-year-old Potomac man was arrested.

Washington St. and E. Middle Lane, 7:45 p.m. Sept. 21. A woman attacked an acquaintance.

WEAPONS OFFENSES

Masterpiece Lane, 14200 block, 12:58 a.m. Sept. 20. A man made threats with a weapon. A 29-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Elmcroft Blvd., 100 block, Sept. 25. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.

Elmcroft Blvd., 400 block, Sept. 25. A vehicle break-in occurred. Nothing was reported missing.

Elmcroft Blvd., 600 block, 12:01 to 7 a.m. Sept. 24. Property was damaged in a business entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Mill Run Dr., 7500 block, 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 23. Property was stolen from a residence.

Outpost Way, 14300 block, 14300 block, 9 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. Sept. 25. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Overhill Rd., 17000 block, Sept. 19 to 23. A shed at a residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Prettyman Dr., 300 block, 9:36 p.m. Sept. 25. An attempt was made to break into a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Rockville Pike, 1100 block, Sept. 21 to 22. Property was stolen from an auto dealership entered by force.

Turkey Foot Rd., 15000 block, Sept. 21 to 24. Property was stolen from a construction site.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Kraft Dr., 5600 block, Sept. 22 to 24. An attempt was made to steal a vehicle.

Washington Ave., 12500 block, Sept. 22 to 24. Attempts were made to steal two vehicles that had been entered by force.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Brooklawn Terr., 3100 block, Sept. 20 to 21. Property was stolen from a residence.

Brooklawn Terr. and Pauline Dr., Sept. 20 to 21. Property was stolen from six unlocked vehicles.

Commonwealth Dr., 11400 block, Sept. 20. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force. A heavyset male was seen fleeing the area empty-handed.

Cromwell Dr., 6100 block, Madawaska Rd., 6200 block, Ramsgate Rd., 6100 block, Westpath Way, 5600 block,Willett Pkwy., 4100 block, and Wyandot Ct., 5600 block, Sept. 19 to 20. GPS units, iPods, purses and cash were among property stolen from vehicles entered by force.

Wadsworth Dr., 9300 block, Sept. 21 to 24. Property was stolen from an elementary school entered by force.

Western Ave., 6300 block, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 21. A break-in occurred at a residence. Nothing was reported missing. A man was seen leaving the premises.

Wisconsin Ave., 7200 block, 7:15 a.m. Sept. 24. Property was stolen from a business.

Wisconsin Ave., 8300 block, 3:45 a.m. Sept. 21. A business was entered by force. A 24-year-old Kensington man was arrested at the scene on burglary charges.

ROBBERIES

Cherry Hill Rd., 11400 block, 11:15 p.m. Sept. 22. A man armed with a weapon demanded property from a pedestrian, then fled empty-handed.

Georgia Ave., 8600 block, 6:36 p.m. Sept. 20. A woman robbed a person of property at knifepoint.

Piney Branch Rd., 8600 block, 5:28 p.m. Sept. 23. A robbery was reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Branch Dr., 400 block, 3:30 a.m. Sept. 20. A break-in occurred at a residence. Two Silver Spring men, ages 20 and 21 , a Clarksburg man, 23, and a Hyattsville man, 21 , were arrested at the scene.

Bruton Parish Way, Gateshead Manor Way, Madison Park Lane and Tea Garden Cir., Sept. 17 to 22. Computer equipment, jewelry and GPS units were among property stolen from vehicles, three of which were entered by force.

Colesville Rd., 8300 block, 8 a.m. Sept. 18 to 6 p.m. Sept. 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Daleview Ct., 9200 block, 9 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. Sept. 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

HOMICIDES

Georgian Way, 3:31 a.m. Sept. 22. The body of Rocio Nikaury Morcelo was found in the stairwell of the apartment building in which she resided. She had suffered a stab wound. A 31-year-old man of the same address was arrested.

Postgate Terr., 4100 block, 10:50 p.m. Sept. 22. Two acquaintances fought each other.

ROBBERIES

Hewitt Ave., 3200 block, 3:22 a.m. Sept. 26. Two men armed with a weapon robbed a person of property.

Marathon Cir., 15600 block, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 22. A male was seen peering through a window at a residence.

Frederick Ave. N., 400 block, 8:30 p.m. Sept. 20. A male and two females attacked an acquaintance in a gas station parking lot.

Mills Choice Rd., 19000 block, 10:20 to 10:40 p.m. Sept. 24. Two acquaintances fought each other.

Stedwick Rd., 10600 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 24. A 19-year-old Montgomery Village man was arrested on assault charges.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Edison Park Dr., 200 block, 3 p.m. Sept. 17 to 5:45 a.m. Sept. 18. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

Horizon Run Rd., Russell Ave. and Walkers Choice Rd., Sept. 17 to 25. Electronics were among property stolen from vehicles parked at residences and in commercial lots.

ASSAULTS

Twinbrook Pkwy., 700 block, 10:30 to 11:18 p.m. Sept. 25. A 61-year-old man was charged with first-degree assault and destruction of property.

ROBBERIES

Rockville Pike, 200 block, Sept. 20. A 14-year-old male was arrested in connection with three robberies that took place from July 21 to July 31 on Harrington Road, Mannakee Street and Frederick Road. The charges included strong-arm robbery, theft, credit-card fraud and several counts of conspiracy.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Congressional Lane, 100 block, 9:57 p.m. Sept. 27. A male who said that he had a weapon took a purse from a woman at an ATM.

Creek Valley Dr., 400 block, 4 p.m. Sept. 24 to 1 a.m. Sept. 25. A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle.

Elmcroft Blvd., 100 block, 7:45 p.m. Sept. 24 to 11 p.m. Sept. 25. A laptop computer, a purse, credit cards, a briefcase and a backpack were among property stolen from a vehicle.

Elmcroft Blvd., 400 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 24 to 8:45 a.m. Sept. 25. A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle.

Hungerford Dr., 300 block, 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29. Cash was stolen from two unlocked lockers at a fire station.

Rockville Pike, 1200 block, 12:02 p.m. Sept. 28. A man and a woman took several laptop computers from a shelf at a business..

Rockville Pike, 1500 block, 9:45 to 9:50 p.m. Sept. 26. A watch was stolen from a men’s restroom.

Shady Grove Rd., 14900 block, 2:58 p.m. Sept. 25. A 43-year-old man was charged with theft.

Watkins Pond Blvd., 400 block, 2:55 to 3:04 a.m. Sept. 25. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence entered through an attached garage.

Cedar Ave., 7400 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 30 to 8:15 a.m. Oct. 1. A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

Central Ave., 7200 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 2 to 8 a.m. Oct. 3. A change-purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

New Hampshire Ave., 7600 block, 12:01 a.m. Oct. 3. Used cooking oil was stolen from a restaurant.

Poplar Ave., 7700 block, 12:36 a.m. Oct. 3. Two packages were stolen from a porch at a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Holton Lane, 1100 block, 5:40 p.m. Oct. 3. A 2004 Honda Odyssey was stolen.

New Hampshire Ave., 7400 block, 12:55 a.m. Oct. 2. Responding to a report of suspicious activity around a parked vehicle, police arrested a 22-year-old man. Charges included motor vehicle theft; possession of burglary tools; and controlled, dangerous substance offenses.
