SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Shady Grove Metro Station area, 1 a.m. July 28. A sexual assault occurred in a residence. The people involved are acquainted.

ROBBERIES

Bou Ave., 5700 block, 6:24 p.m. July 26. A male and a female assaulted and tried to rob a person near a craft store. A District male, 13, and a female, 14, of unknown address, were arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cambridge St., 16800 block, 7 p.m. July 28 to 8:30 a.m. July 29. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Cervantes Ave., 14600 block, July 28 to July 29. Property was stolen from a shed on residential property. The shed was entered by force.

Dunleith St., 14800 block, July 22 to July 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Frederick Rd., 15800 block, 8 p.m. July 24 to 7 a.m. July 25. Property was stolen from a dry cleaning business. There was no sign of forced entry.

Outpost Dr., 10900 block, 1:50 to 2 a.m. July 23. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Travilah Rd., 14000 block, July 29 to July 30. Property was stolen from a pizza restaurant entered by force.

Hungerford Dr., 700 block, 10:37 a.m. July 27. A man assaulted a person at a grocery store. A Wheaton man, 23, was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Grubb Rd., 8300 block, July 29 to July 30. Property was stolen from a catering company entered by force.

Jolly Way, 10900 block, July 26 to July 29. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Parklawn Dr., 11700 block, 4 to 5 p.m. July 24. Property was removed from a purse.

Pembroke Terr., 5500 block, July 26. An attempted break-in was reported at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Symphony Park Dr., 10800 block, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 25. Property was stolen from two businesses.

West Virginia Ave., 4400 block, 2:15 a.m. July 27. A GPS device was stolen from a vehicle.

16th St., 8600 block, July 29 to July 30. A tablet computer was among items stolen in connection with three vehicle break-ins overnight.

Russell and E. Diamond avenues, 11:25 p.m. July 26. A man exposed himself at an intersection. A Gaithersburg man, 44, was arrested.

ASSAULTS

Anna Ct., 100 block, 10:30 p.m. July 25. A man assaulted an acquaintance. A Gaithersburg man, 36, was arrested.

Thomas Lea Terr., 8800 block, 2:49 a.m. July 23. A man assaulted an acquaintance. A Gaithersburg man, 21, was arrested.

Turnham Lane, 1-99 block, 10 p.m. July 25. A man assaulted an acquaintance. A Gaithersburg man, 27, was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Clopper Rd., 700 block, 4:30 a.m. July 27. Three males assaulted a person and took property.

Rothbury Dr., 9100 block, 11 to 11:25 p.m. July 23. Five or six males attempted to rob people on a path behind a shopping center. Pedestrians were assaulted. Nothing was reported missing.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Clopper Rd., 900 block, noon July 28 to 6 a.m. July 29. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

E. Diamond Ave., 300 block, 10:26 p.m. July 30. An attempted break-in was reported at a residence.

Harkness Ct., 1-99 block, 11 a.m. to 4:09 p.m. July 27. An attempted break-in was reported at a residence.

Kentlands Blvd., 200 block, 3:19 a.m. July 30. A business was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

King James Way, 17200 block, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 26. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Quince Orchard Blvd., 800 block, 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 26. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Rosewood Manor Lane and Brethren area, and Sparrow Valley Lane and Grazing Way area, 6 p.m. July 25 to 8:15 a.m. July 26. GPS devices, wallets, battery chargers and cash were stolen from eight vehicles. There were no signs of forced entry.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Cross Country Ct., 1-99 block, 11:30 p.m. July 25 to 3 a.m. July 26. A vehicle theft was reported.

S. Frederick Ave., 500 block, 7 p.m. July 27 to 10:30 a.m. July 28. A vehicle theft was reported.

ASSAULTS

Gude Dr. E., 1300 block, 2:12 p.m. July 31. A 59-year-old man was arrested in connection with second-degree assault.

Hungerford Dr., 700 block, 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. July 27. A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and possession of a dangerous weapon.

McArthur Dr., 400 block, 1:55 to 1:57 a.m. July 29. A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with second-degree assault.

Rockville Pike, 800 block, 7 to 7:07 p.m. Aug. 2. A 36-year-old man was arrested in connection with second-degree assault of a police officer and resisting arrest.

ROBBERIES

Harrington Rd., 600 block, 4 to 4:13 p.m. Aug. 1. A man began making small talk with a male pedestrian. He then struck the pedestrian, causing him to drop his keys and sunglasses. The robber picked up the property and fled with a male accomplice south on Harrington Road toward Cabin John Parkway.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Clemson Ct., 1-99 block, 2 p.m. Aug. 3 to 9 a.m. Aug. 4. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Horners Lane N., 400 block, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 26. Jewelry, a coin collection and a safe were stolen from a residence entered by removing a bedroom window air-conditioner.

Rockville Pike, 1200 block, 1:53 a.m. Aug. 1. An attempt was made to enter an interior section of an office building through an unlocked window.

Stonestreet Ave. N., 400 block, 6:30 p.m. July 25 to 8 a.m. July 29. Cash was stolen from clothing left in an office closet.

VANDALISM

Rockville Pike, 1700 block, 2:35 a.m. Aug. 4. A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with malicious destruction of property.

OTHER ARRESTS

Higgins Pl., 1100 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 3 to 12:26 p.m. Aug. 4. A 25-year-old woman was arrested in connection with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order and trespassing.

Rockville Pike, 1200 block, 800 block, 7:58 p.m. Aug. 2. A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with possession of an open alcoholic container at a retail establishment.

Veirs Mill Rd., 2200 block, 10:50 to 11:08 p.m. Aug. 1. A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with trespassing. During the investigation, it was discovered the man had been issued an outstanding arrest warrant by the Rockville police department for failure to appear in court.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS
