ROBBERIES

Chapman Ave., 1600 block, 9:45 a.m. Oct. 10. Two men assaulted and stabbed a man, then attempted to rob him.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Autumn Wind Way, 400 block, Oct. 14 to 15. Property was stolen from a garage at a residence.

Beall Ave., 500 block, Oct. 13 to 14. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Forest Ave., 100 block, Oct. 13 to 14. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Rockville Pike, 1900 block, 3:43 to 4:18 a.m. Oct. 12. Property was stolen from a gas station entered by force. A vehicle also was stolen.

Vandegrift Ave., 5900 block, 12:05 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8. A backpack was stolen.

WEAPONS

Triple Crown Rd., 12300 block, 10:28 p.m. Oct. 11. A weapons offense and a drug offense were reported. Police arrested three 18-year-old Germantown men, a 16-year-old, a 62-year-old man of North Potomac and a 20-year-old man of unknown address.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Fishers Lane, 5600 block, 5 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 11. A vehicle was stolen.

Gretna Green Dr., 15000 block, 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 8. A vehicle was stolen.

16th St., 8600 block, 1:30 a.m. Oct. 8. An aggravated assault occurred.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bethesda Ave., 4800 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 10. Property was stolen from a person at a book store.

Broxburn Dr., 6600 block, 2:10 p.m. Oct. 11. Property outside a residence was stolen.

Cedarwood Dr., and Ipswich, Kingswood and Old Georgetown roads, Oct. 7 to 15. Laptop computers, iPods, GPS devices, purses and wallets were stolen from six vehicles, most of which were unlocked.

Connecticut Ave., 6100 block, 1:45 p.m. Oct. 8. A person attempted to steal property from a vehicle. A 24-year-old Chevy Chase man was arrested.

Granby St., 6900 block, 2:30 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Marbury Rd., 7100 block, Oct. 8 to 9. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

St. Elmo Ave., 4900 block, Oct. 9 to 10. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered by force.

HOMICIDES

East-West Hwy., 3:30 a.m. Oct. 13. A woman called 911 for assistance, and when police arrived, they found two males, one unresponsive with wounds. A 23-year-old Great Falls, Va., man was deceased at the scene.

Evans Dr., 2300 block, 12:05 a.m. Oct. 16. An aggravated assault occurred.

Beacon Rd., 600 block, 11:13 p.m. Oct. 10. Two males assaulted and robbed a person.

Eastern Ave., 8000 block, 11:05 p.m. Oct. 12. A man threatened and robbed a person.

Georgia Ave., 7900 block, 7:15 p.m. Oct. 14. A male and a female assaulted and robbed a person.

Piney Branch Rd., 8800 block, 12:29 a.m. Oct. 12. A man with a weapon threatened a person and took property.

Anna Ct., 100 block, 12:32 a.m. Oct. 10. A break-in occurred at a residence. A 30-year-old Gaithersburg man was arrested.

Buhrstone Dr., 19900 block, 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 11. A break-in occurred at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Diamond Ave. W. and King James Way, Oct. 7 to 15. Parts were stolen from three vehicles.

Duvall Lane, 100 block, 3:03 p.m. Oct. 15. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force.

E. Diamond Ave., Gaither Rd., Helgerman Ct. and Laurel Valley Pl., Oct. 7 to 15. Property was stolen from four vehicles. Two of them were unlocked.

Holmard and Thurgood streets, Oct. 7 to 15. Items were stolen from four vehicles. Three of them were unlocked.

O’Neill Dr., 100 block, 5:06 p.m. Oct. 14. A break-in occurred at a residence.

Queen Victoria Ct., 17100 block, 11:20 a.m. Oct. 15. A man entered a residence by force and fled with property.

School Dr., unit block, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 9. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Willow Creek Dr., 9300 block, 9:26 a.m. Oct. 15. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

ASSAULTS

Beall Ave., 500 block, 2:48 a.m. Oct. 20. A 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with second-degree assault.

Rockville Pike, 200 block, 10:39 p.m. Oct. 18. Four males assaulted a male pedestrian. When he began yelling, they fled.

ROBBERIES

Maryland Ave. and Monument St., 11:30 to 11:45 p.m. Oct. 13. Two males walked past a male pedestrian, then struck him several times. During the assault, one of the attackers stole a cellphone from the pedestrian’s pocket. When the pedestrian began shouting, the robbers fled.

Rockville Pike, 1300 block, 1:21 a.m. Oct. 14. Two men accosted two people sitting on an outside patio at a restaurant. One male grabbed a cigarette from a person’s mouth and assaulted him. The robbers demanded property, then fled empty-handed on Rockville Pike.

Autumn Wind Way, 100 block, noon Oct. 10 to 9 a.m. Oct. 15. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Autumn Wind Way, 400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Two skateboards were stolen from a residential driveway.

Beall Ave., 500 block, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14. Tools were stolen from a home under construction.

Blue Hosta Way, midnight to 6 a.m. Oct. 15. A pair of sunglasses and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Elmcroft Blvd., 900 block, 3:05 p.m. Oct. 4 to noon Oct. 17. A woman reported that a wallet and jewelry had been stolen from her home and that several people had been in and out of the residence.

Fallsgrove Dr., 700 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 14 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A briefcase and a wallet were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

King Farm Blvd., 300 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 14 to 11 a.m. Oct. 15. A backpack, a hand-held video game, a video console, a wallet and a set of keys were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Farm Haven Ct., unit block, 10 p.m. Oct. 18 to 7 a.m. Oct. 19. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Forest Ave., unit block, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 13 to 8:15 a.m. Oct. 14. A wallet and papers were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Gilbert Rd. and Edmonston Dr., 11 a.m. Oct. 11 to 7 a.m. Oct. 14. A forklift attachment was stolen from a Bobcat tractor.

Holland Rd., 5900 block, 6:20 to 6:27 p.m. Oct. 16. A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with attempted theft.

Mojave Ct., unit block, 2 to 6 a.m. Oct. 15. Two purses, a check and a set of golf clubs were stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

Radburn Ct., unit block, noon Oct. 12 to 10 p.m. Oct. 20. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by force through a second-floor window.

Rockville Pike, 800 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 11 to 7 a.m. Oct. 14. Someone broke a garage door window at an automobile dealership. Nothing was reported missing.

Rockville Pike, 800 block, 3:15 to 4 p.m. Oct. 15. A wallet was stolen from a purse left in a desk.

Southlawn Ct., unit block, 9 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 18. A sports bag, three cellphones, three wallets, two pagers, cash, IDs, a set of keys and a credit card were stolen from a recreational facility.

Tall Grass Ct., 100 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 14 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A violin was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Tall Grass Ct., 100 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 14 to 9 a.m. Oct. 15. Clothing, a hand-held video game and an iPod were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Templeton Pl., 1500 block, 5:04 a.m. Oct. 20. Someone entered a garage and searched a vehicle. Nothing was reported missing.

Thornden Rd., 1100 block, 11:59 p.m. Oct. 17 to 7:50 a.m. Oct. 18. A camera, a camera bag, a camera battery and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Winding Rose Dr., 400 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 14 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A pair of contacts was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Nelson St., 1100 block, 10:55 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 16. Two men, ages 22 and 29, were arrested in connection with attempted motor vehicle theft.

Veirs Mill Rd., 2200 block, 2:45 a.m. Oct. 20. A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with carrying a concealed deadly weapon (a knife).

New Hampshire Ave., 7600 block, 12:13 p.m. Oct. 22. A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with an open warrant for theft and forgery.

Piney Branch Rd., 7500 block, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 18. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

Ritchie Ave., 100 block, 6:15 p.m. Oct. 18. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a front door and window.

Sycamore Ave., 7000 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

OTHER ARRESTS

Maple Ave., 4:43 a.m. Oct. 21. A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with failure to pay child support.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

New Hampshire Ave., 7600 block, 12:13 a.m. Oct. 22. Two males were seen stealing a person’s scooter. When police arrived, the males fled in opposite directions. The scooter was recovered.
