Western Ave., 5300 block, 5:15 p.m. Oct. 8. A man at a store attacked a police officer placing him under arrest for shoplifting. An 18-year-old District man was charged with assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cammack Dr., 5100 block, noon Oct. 6. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Donneybrook Dr., 8400 block, East-West Hwy., 3300 block, Leland St., 4100 block, Rocton Ave., 7700 and 7800 blocks, Shirley Lane, 3300 block, Woodside Pl., 6900 block, and Woolsey Dr., 3400 block, Oct. 2 and 3. Cash and clothes were among property stolen from several vehicles, all but one of which had been left unlocked.

Lone Oak Dr., Oct. 2. Property was stolen from several vehicles. A 19-year-old Takoma Park man and an 18-year-old man of no fixed address were arrested.

Lynbrook Dr., 4300 block, Oct. 3 to 5. Global Positioning System units were among property stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

Dennis Ave., 1400 block, 3:30 p.m. Oct. 3. Three teenagers threatened and robbed a person on the grounds of a middle school. Two Capitol Heights males, ages 14 and 15, and a Silver Spring male, 13, were arrested.

Foxhall Dr. near Fernedge Rd., 9:50 p.m. Oct. 4. A man threatened and robbed a person. A 24-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested.

Georgia Ave., 12500 block, 1:20 p.m. Oct. 3. Two men armed with a weapon robbed a person near a Metro station.

Randolph Rd., 1900 block, 11:25 a.m. Oct. 3. A male threatened and robbed an acquaintance at a high school. A 16-year-old from Silver Spring was arrested.

Torrance Ct., unit block, 8:41 p.m. Oct. 6. A group of people threatened and robbed a person.

Veirs Mill Rd., 12200 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 6. Three males armed with a weapon robbed a person at a gas station. An 18-year-old Gaithersburg man and two Silver Spring males, ages 17 and 20, were arrested.

Ridge Rd., 26100 block, 1:30 p.m. Oct. 3. An armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant. The victim and the assailant are acquaintances.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Ansel Terr., Brass Wheel Dr., Cottage Field Lane, Fountain Hills Dr., Metz Dr., Tapwood Rd., and Wheatridge Terr., Oct. 1 to 9. GPS units were among property stolen from 12 vehicles. All but one had been left unlocked.

Fountain Hills Dr., 18900 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 8 to 4 a.m. Oct. 9. Property was stolen from a residence.

Frederick Rd., 20900 block, 3:40 p.m. Oct. 4. A theft occurred at a discount retail store. A 19-year-old Silver Spring man, a 23-year-old District man and an 18-year-old Montgomery Village man were arrested.

Circle Gate Dr., Demetrias Way, Locbury Dr., Middlebrook Rd., and Pinnacle Dr., Oct. 1 to 9. Property was stolen from five vehicles, three of which had been left unlocked.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Carroll Ave., 7000 block, 8:11 a.m. Oct. 14. A black 2002 Ford Crown Victoria taxi was stolen. The vehicle was recovered that same day in the District.
