Yale Pl., 1600 block, 8:50 p.m. Jan. 6. In connection with an unsuccessful attempt to steal a vehicle from a motorist, a 20-year-old Rockville man and a 21-year-old District man were arrested on carjacking and armed robbery charges.

Prettyman Dr., 300 block, 9:08 p.m. Jan. 10. A 54-year-old man was arrested on charges that included first- and second-degree assault and intoxicated endangerment.

Twinbrook Pkwy., 900 block, 10 p.m. Dec. 31. A 42-year-old man was arrested for violation of a protection order.

Veirs Mill Rd., 2200 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 3. A 33-year-old man was arrested on charges that included disorderly conduct and hindering and obstruction.

Yale Pl., 1600 block, 8:50 p.m. Jan. 6. Following an attempted robbery of a food-delivery vehicle, a District man, 21, and a Potomac man, 20, were arrested. Charges included armed carjacking, first-degree assault and theft.

Bradley Ave.,1600 block, 12:25 a.m. Jan. 5. A person threatened a DJ at a party and robbed him of a laptop computer.

Piccard Dr.,1300 block, 5:34 p.m. Jan. 9. A man who had been invited to a meeting at this location robbed the women he was meeting with at gunpoint.

Research Ct., unit block, 12:15 a.m. Jan. 8. A man asked a motel employee to accompany him to a location where a guest had been injured. When the employee returned to the front counter, he saw a man fleeing to a black Dodge Charger. Cash had been taken from the cash register.

Charles St., 300 block, 9 p.m. Jan. 4 to 9 a.m. Jan. 5. A GPS unit, an owner’s manual and a key were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Crabb Ave., 600 block, 1:01 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 7. A ladder was stolen from an unlocked shed.

Denham Rd., 400 block, 1 to 5 a.m. Jan. 10. A vehicle air conditioner was stolen from a driveway at a residence.

Edmonston Dr. W., 300 block, noon Sept. 21 to 1:01 a.m. Jan. 7. Three laptop computers were stolen from an office.

Elmcroft Sq., 100 block, 2 to 2:46 a.m. Jan. 13. An attempt was made to enter an occupied residence by force. The intruder fled empty-handed when confronted.

Eton Overlook, 3:10 a.m. Jan. 3. A GPS unit, a cellphone and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Two men were seen fleeing the area.

Lincoln St., 500 block, 5 a.m. Jan. 5. An attempt was made to enter an occupied residence through a bedroom window. The intruder fled empty-handed when confronted.

Rockville Pike, 800 block, 1:30 to 1:41 p.m. Jan. 5. A laptop computer was stolen after it was left behind at a restaurant.

Rockville Pike, 1700 block, 4:54 p.m. Jan. 11. A man stole an article of clothing from a retail business.

Seven Locks Rd., 1100 block, 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 4. A jacket, a cellphone, a pair of gloves and a set of keys were stolen from a coat rack in a locker room at a fitness center.

Tower Oaks Blvd., 3200 block, 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 11. Cash was stolen from a wallet in a jacket at an office.

Twinbrook Pkwy., 12400 block, 2 p.m. Jan. 8. A person threatened and robbed a person of a cellphone and a charger. The victim said that the two were meeting to discuss an iPod transaction.

Kirklynn Ave., 1200 block, 7 a.m. Jan. 11. An 18-year-old man was arrested on charges that included robbery and first-degree assault.

ASSAULTS

Flower Ave., 8600 block, 2:19 p.m. Jan. 15. During an argument, two people fought each other. A 50-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were arrested.

Maple Ave., 7600 block, 5:39 a.m. Jan. 14. During an argument, two people fought each other. A 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested.

University Blvd., 900 block, 9:50 p.m. Jan. 12. A 44-year-old man was arrested on charges that included second-degree assault and destruction of property.

Albany Ave., 500 block, 6:49 p.m. Jan. 11. Two laptop computer computers were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked bathroom window.
