Smokey Quartz Lane, 11100 block, 8:20 p.m. Jan. 11. A man attacked an acquaintance. A 53-year-old Potomac man was arrested. No serious injuries were reported.

Canal Vista Ct., 13700 block, 7:25 p.m. Jan. 12 to 7:25 a.m. Jan. 13. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Crabb Ave., 600 block, 1:01 to 2 a.m. Jan. 7. Property was stolen from an unlocked shed. A nearby shed was entered by force, but nothing was reported missing.

Devilwood Dr., 12100 block, 12:30 to 4 p.m. Jan. 8. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Grand Champion Dr., 900 block, 11:59 p.m. Jan. 13 to 8:48 a.m. Jan. 14. An attempt was made to enter a vehicle by force.

Castle Blvd., 13800 block, 4:20 p.m. Jan. 11. A man wearing a mask and armed with a weapon robbed several people of property.

Garland Ave., 8000 block, 10:03 p.m. Jan. 9. A man and a woman threatened several people and robbed them of property.

Outlet Dr., 13800 block, 9:51 p.m. Jan. 15. A robbery occurred at a grocery store. An investigation was ongoing.

Old Columbia Pike, 11700 block, 9 p.m. Jan. 11. A male wearing a mask threatened and robbed a person.

Piney Branch Rd., 8700 block, 2:57 a.m. Jan. 10. A group of five men threatened several people and robbed them of property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Aldora Cir., Ballinger Ct., Bruton Parish Lane, Parish Lane, Lansdale Ct., Quartet Lane and Straus Terr., Jan. 7 to 9. Six airbags were among property stolen from eight vehicles, most of which had been left unlocked.

Bronzegate Blvd., 1900 block, 2:45 a.m. Jan. 12. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force. Five males wearing masks were seen fleeing the area empty-handed.

Brookville Rd., 9400 block, 11 a.m. Jan. 9 to 12:44 p.m. Jan. 10. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Colesville Rd., 8400 block, 11:30 p.m. Jan. 10 to 7 a.m. Jan. 11. Property was stolen from a medical facility. There was no sign of forced entry.

Abby Manor Cir., 2800 block, 6:30 a.m. Jan. 13. A man armed with a weapon demanded property from a pedestrian, then fled empty-handed.

Blueridge and Amherst avenues, 12:54 a.m. Jan. 12. A man wearing a mask and armed with a weapon robbed several people of property.

Elkin St., 11300 block, 12:20 p.m. Jan. 14. A man threatened a pedestrian and demanded property, then fled empty-handed.

Ennalls Ave., 2500 block, 9:33 p.m. Jan. 10. A male threatened a person in a store and took property, then fled with two accomplices. Three Rockville males, ages 14, 16 and 16, were arrested.

Georgia Ave., 11100 block, 9:39 p.m. Jan. 9. Three men wearing masks threatened several people at a convenience store, then fled with property.

Georgia Ave., 12500 block, 5:50 a.m. Jan. 13. A male threatened and robbed a person at a Metro station.

Georgia Ave., 12500 block, 10:55 a.m. Jan. 14. Three males, one of them armed with weapon, robbed a person at a Metro station.

Ladd St., 1600 block, 3 p.m. Jan. 12. Two men threatened and robbed a person. A 19-year-old Brookeville man and an 18-year-old Wheaton man were arrested.

Lydia St., 13400 block, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 9. A person tried to rob an acquaintance near an elementary school. An investigation was ongoing.

Morningwood Dr. and Sunset Lake Ct., 10 p.m. Jan. 14. A strong-arm robbery occurred. A 17-year-old Olney male was arrested on charges that included aggravated assault.

Randolph Rd., 2000 block, 7:10 p.m. Jan. 13. Two men threatened and robbed a person.

Turkey Branch Pkwy., 13200 block, 12:40 a.m. Jan. 15. A man threatened and robbed a person.

Tynewick Ct., unit block, 1:38 a.m. Jan. 10. A male threatened and robbed a person.

Dawson Farm and Germantown roads, 8:50 p.m. Jan. 10. A male threatened and robbed a person.

Halethorpe Terr., 11300 block, 8:30 p.m. Jan. 14. As a motorist was getting out of her vehicle, a male reached inside it and grabbed two purses and other property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bent Willow Cir., 18000 block, 3:15 a.m. Jan. 13. Sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. A nearby vehicle, also unlocked, was entered, but nothing was reported missing. A 15-year-old Germantown male was arrested.

Bent Willow Cir., 18800 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 12 to 3 p.m. Jan. 13. Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Grazing Way, 9300 block, Jan. 9. A man attacked an acquaintance. A 28-year-old Gaithersburg man was arrested. No serious injuries were reported.

Quail Valley Blvd., 18900 block, 12:01 a.m. Jan. 8. A person attacked an acquaintance.

ROBBERIES

Centerway and Snouffer School roads, 7:50 p.m. Jan. 11. A male and a female threatened and robbed a person.

Frederick Ave. S., 300 block, 9 p.m. Jan. 11. A person threatened and robbed a person in a park.

Frederick and S. Summit avenues, 9:40 p.m. Jan. 13. A man armed with a weapon robbed a person of property.

Laytonia Dr., 7600 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 9. A group of people threatened and robbed a person.

Summit Ave. N., 100 block, and Teachers Way, unit block, 8 p.m. Jan. 12. In two separate incidents just minutes apart, four males committed robberies. Four Gaithersburg males, ages 15, 17, 17 and 18, were arrested.

Cape Jasmine Way, unit block, 4:45 p.m. Jan. 12 to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 13. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Capehart Dr., 19000 block, Jan. 11 to 13. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Chestertown St., 200 and 300 blocks, Jan. 13 to 14. A car charger and an empty wallet were among property stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

Cross Country Lane, 18600 block, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 10. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Frederick Ave. S., 600 block, 10:30 p.m. Jan. 9. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered by force. A 27-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested.

Frederick Ave. S., 600 block, Jan. 10. Attempts were made to break into 11 offices. Only two offices were entered, and one had property stolen from it.

Research Blvd., 2600 block, 2 a.m. Jan. 12. Property was stolen from a motel room entered by force. A man was seen fleeing with the property.

Stedwick Rd., 10000 block, 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 8. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Rockville Pike, 200 block, 9:30 p.m. Jan. 18. A man asked a pedestrian for cash, then snatched cash that the man had taken out of his pocket.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Horners Lane N., 400 block, noon Jan. 2 to noon Jan. 4. Several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a residence.

Preserve Pkwy., unit block, 10:25 to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 21. A cellphone was stolen from a table at a restaurant.

Rockville Pike, 1600 block, 2 to 2:45 p.m. Jan. 19. An iPad was stolen from a display stand inside a store. An employee who had been dealing with other customers said that a man had asked to use a cellphone charger and had been walking around the store during the time that the device was probably stolen.

Veirs Mill Rd., 2100 block, 3 p.m. Jan. 15. A male threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet from a back pocket of his pants.
