A Montgomery County man was killed Friday when his motorcycle went out of control, crashed into his house and went through a window,the county police said.
They said the man lost control of the motorcycle in the Montgomery Village area while doing a “wheelie.” In such a maneuver, the motorcycle is balanced for a time on its rear wheel.
The incident occurred about 5 p.m. in the 20700 block of Highland Hall Drive. Police said that after the motorcycle went out of control, it sped up, hit a curb, crossed a grass area and hit the house Both the motorcycle and the operator went through a side window and finally came to rest inside, the police said.
A sheriff’s deputy who went to the site found the man pinned under the motorcycle, police said.
Police identified him as Richard Mark Sampson, 44, who they said owned the house involved. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Police said they were continuing to investigate.
