●National Cherry Blossom Festival Cultural Performances at the Tidal Basin. Celebrate cultural exchange through the arts with dance, music and strolling entertainment on stage. Tidal Basin Welcome Area, 15th Street and Independence Avenue SW, Metro: Smithsonian

Tidal Basin Paddle Boat Rentals presented by Guest Services. Board a paddle boat and enjoy the view of the cherry blossoms. Advanced reservations are available at tidalbasinpaddleboats.com. $12 an hour for two-passenger boats, $19 an hour for four-passenger boats. Tidal Basin Boathouse, 1501 Maine Ave. SW. Metro: Smithsonian. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

●Official Cherry Blossom Food Tour. Experience the festival through the history, the architecture and the food. Expand and challenge the palate with an array of dishes inspired by cherries and the area’s Japanese influence. Cost: $49 per person. 700 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Metro: Eastern Market
