Louise Winters, 91, a psychiatric nurse at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington from 1951 to 1973, died April 1 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She had sepsis and respiratory failure.
Mrs. Winters, a Charlotte Hall resident, was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Fort Washington.
Louise Lomax was born in Nottoway County, Va., southwest of Richmond. She graduated in 1942 from the St. Philip Hospital nursing school in Richmond. She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II.
Her husband, John Lonnie Winters, a retired Methodist minister, whom she married in 1954, died in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Pia Jordan of Baltimore; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
