Bernadine Young, Prince George’s teacher

Bernadine Young, 64, who taught at Seabrook Elementary School in Lanham for 30 years, died April 16 at Washington Hospital Center of complications from a lung condition.

After her years at Seabrook Elementary, Mrs. Young spent two years teaching at High Bridge Elementary School in Bowie before retiring in 2001.

A resident of the District’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, she belonged to the old St. Francis Polish National Catholic Church at the Washington National Cathedral.

Bernadine Crahall was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and a 1968 graduate of East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Geoffrey W. Young of Washington; and three brothers.
