Beverly Page, teacher’s assistant, dies at 88

Beverly Page, a teacher’s assistant at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church nursery school in Bethesda from the mid-1960s to late 1970s, died March 4 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda. She was 88.

The cause was multiple organ failure, said her son, Richard S. Page Sr. She was a Bethesda resident.

Beverly Bowen was born in Washington and raised in Bethesda, where she was a 1944 graduate of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. She was a past president of the Woman’s Club of Bethesda, the South Arundel Junior Women’s Club in Anne Arundel County and the southern district of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Her husband, C. Meredith Page Sr., died in 1977. Survivors include two sons, C. Meredith Page Jr. of Rockville and Richard S. Page Sr. of North Potomac; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
