Cora Richard, 74, a Washington homemaker who did housekeeping work at District hotels in the 1960s, died Jan. 20 at United Medical Center in Washington. She had congestive heart failure.
A daughter, Patricia Thomas, confirmed the death.
Cora Crawford was born in Brooklyn. She settled in the Washington area in 1955.
Her husband, Charles W. Richard Sr., whom she married in 1955, died in 1989.
Survivors include six children, Josephine Richard and Charles Richard Jr., both of Washington, Patricia Thomas and Michael Richard, both of Capitol Heights, Phillip Richard of Suitland and Carissa Richard-Sampson of Accokeek; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
