Former president Dwight D. Eisenhower sets the ball on the first tee to start a golf exhibition for the benefit of the Heart Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Eisenhower was unable to play in the match because of a sore arm. The foresome who teed off in the match are, from left, professional golfers Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer;dancer and “Wizard of Oz” co-star Ray Bolger; and Williams, who was an avid golfer.
