JoAnne S. Kilsheimer, who ran Lady Blue Estate Sales for about a decade, died Aug. 13 at the Opportunity Shop sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church, Norwood Parish, in Chevy Chase. She was 70.
The cause was a heart attack, said her daughter Timarie K. Thompson.
Ms. Kilsheimer had volunteered for more than two decades at the Opportunity Shop, a nonprofit thrift store. She retired from her estate-sale planning business in the late 2000s.
JoAnne Stella Cunningham was born in Worcester, Mass., where she graduated from St. Vincent Hospital’s school for surgical technicians.
She settled in the Washington area in the late 1960s and was a longtime resident of Bethesda before moving to the Leisure World retirement community in Silver Spring several years ago. During the summer, she resided in Dewey Beach, Del.
Her marriage to Allyn E. Kilsheimer ended in divorce.
Survivors include two daughters, Timarie K. Thompson of Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Lisa K. Stevenson of Bethesda; a brother; and four grandsons.
