Mary H. Fleming, Andrews Air Force Base employee

Mary H. Fleming, 78, who retired in 1987 as a staffing specialist at Andrews Air Force Base after about 20 years of federal civil service, died of heart ailments Feb. 27 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Her daughter Holly L. Waldman confirmed the death.

Mary Harvey Fink was born in Yonkers, N.Y. She moved to the Washington area in her teenage years and graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1953.

A former Bowie resident, she moved to Memphis in 1993.

Her marriages to Vernon R. Moore and V. Clifford Fleming Sr. ended in divorce. A son from her first marriage, Lawrence Moore, died in infancy in 1959. A son from her second marriage, John B. Fleming, died in 2002.

Survivors include a daughter from her first marriage, Navy Capt. Leslie A. Moore of Alexandria; two children from her second marriage, Holly L. Waldman of Crofton and V. Clifford Fleming Jr. of Bowie; and three grandsons.
