Paul Kuhn, equipment specialist, dies at 94

Paul Kuhn, an equipment specialist at the Naval Security Station in Washington for three decades, died Feb. 13 at the Rockville Nursing Home. He was 94.

The cause was congestive heart failure, said his daughter, Kristi Elias.

Mr. Kuhn worked at the Naval Security Station for 30 years before retiring in 1974. He then worked as a communications specialist at P E Systems, an engineering firm in Springfield, Va., for more than a decade.

Richard Paul Kuhn, an Alexandria native, was a 1937 high school graduate of the old George Mason High School. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

He was a resident of Rockville, Md., and was a member of and a volunteer at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Takoma Park, Md.

His wife of 51 years, Betty Ann Miller Kuhn, died in 1993. Their son, Richard Kuhn Jr., died in 1991. Survivors include two children, Kristi Elias of Rockville and Keith Kuhn of Thurmont, Md.; and four grandchildren.
