Ronald L. Cornett, who owned and operated Cornett’s Seamless Aluminum Gutter Co. for about two decades, died June 2 at his home in Alexandria. He was 72.
The cause was liver cancer, said his wife, Frances Cornett.
Mr. Cornett ran his business from Alexandria until shortly before his death. He previously owned CNC Roofing Co. in Northern Virginia. Earlier in his career, he ran an Alexandria restaurant called the Embers and managed an apartment complex in Arlington.
Ronald Lee Cornett was born in Allock, Ky., and moved to the Washington area after high school. He worked in the FBI’s fingerprinting division before receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 1968.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Frances Combs Cornett of Alexandria; two children, Troy Cornett of Alexandria and Dawn Edwards of Newton, Ga.; a sister; a brother; and three grandchildren.
