On Thursday, for the eighth consecutive day, the temperature was at least 95 degrees in the District — tying the previous hot streaks set in 1987, 1993 and 2002. The record will probably be broken as temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees Friday and Saturday. Read related article.
