Police: Illegal narcotics may be factor in Emylee Lonczak’s death

Illegal narcotics may be a factor in the death of a 16-year-old McLean girl whose body was found in the Vienna area last month, Fairfax County police said Wednesday.

Officers discovered the body of Emylee Lonczak in the 8200 block of Madrillon Estates Drive on Aug. 23 after a search.

At the time, the McLean High School student was reported as a runaway, but police now say she was voluntarily in the company of people she knew before she died.

Police are waiting for the medical examiner to make a final determination of the cause and manner of Lonczak’s death. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
